As I don't know many cities in Europe or elsewhere in the world, I have to go with the boring pick of New York City until I get to do some research on some other choices.

Well, I would love to be in Wellington (New Zealand), because they can enjoy the sun right now!

I can't list up all the cities I love, but the Top 5 would look like this (in no special order):

Wellington (dunno why - it was just 'love' at first sight)
San Francisco (never been to SF, but it looks amazing)
Los Angeles (because of Hollywood)
Rome (just beautiful 'little' city with lots of culture)
Vienna (because it feels good to be 'home')

1. Paris, France - beautiful city, beautiful culture, totally romantic.
2. Rome, Italy - same as the above
3. Vienna, Austria - same as the above exept with snow.
4. Reykjavik - Looks surreal and beautiful
5. NYC - Just so i can visit Poets Walk:)

Anywhere in Canada, either in some remote part with a beautiful indian summer or in the nicest city of the world: Toronto

I wouldn't wanna leave the USA, but I would however leave California, and these would be my five choices. As you can see I just love California.

I want to explore the world. Im supposed to be going to Sweeden with a friend this summer, then backpacking across northern italy with my female friend maybe next year.

But id be content with a quiet cottage in some backwater French village.

but i would like to visit, NYC, Sidney, El Cairo, Rome, Moscow, Madrid, Tokio

I am terrible aqt foreign languges, by far my weakest subject, so while I would gladly visit a country whose langauge I did not know, livign there is not th est idea unless I stay with someone who has a grasp of the language.

Honestly I want to spend some part of my life living in both MYC and Toronto, they are my two favorite cities.

Having been to Tokyo though I think it would be awesome to live there, but I woudl be more inclined towards a long visit then working there.

America has a wide range of environments, economies and such within its own borders. That's the primary reason. If you are in Sweden it's easy to say man I want to be in a warm country or vice versa but in a country that ranges from Maine to Miami, you can satisfy longings like that without leaving, heck even live in the Pacific (Hawaii) and still be in the US.

Personally though I do want to see other places, even if only to live there for a couple years.

Tops of my list would be:

Southern Italy
Coastal Australia and/or New Zealand
Madrid

If it were economically realistic to have a liveably decent apartment in a decent section of London, that would also be a great base, but I assume places like that are only for the rich these days since it is such a popular and important city.

Definitely either Belgium or Tokyo. I like LA, but its kindof dissappointing.
