That is not a small number!! That is a BIG number!!!
The question: what is the most viruses you have found in one virus check? Some people are so perfect, they never get them. Others, like me, are virus magnets. So, out with the embarassing numbers!

Do tell, Krem. What's the most viruses you have found on someone else's computer?

Different viruses? Can't tell.
Infected files - hundreds and thousands.
IMO, Spyware is still a bigger problem.

Spyware does suck. A lot. Between adware, spyware and viruses, I'm surprised there aren't less computers, from people throwing them out their windows.

When I had my old computer, I went a whole 3 years without any virus scans or anything. Then, I got a virus scanner, and found about like 25-30. Now, I scan everyday on my new computer.

I've had a trojan before, and I was sent the SoBig virus (170 times, actually, on my old e-mail address), but I've never really had a true virus affecting my computer (never opened it, etc.)

Well. I actually think my computer was assembled by an assembly line made of viruses bent on destroying my life. Yeah, the computer I use most is almost always infected, IT MUST DIE! But over the summer, my computer at my other house is KICK ASS!

Nope no viruses that I recall in all my years of virus scanning.
Maybe never downloading porn helped.

Yah, I've done that on many computers of friends who are complaining, and, suprisingly, there's ALWAYS over 700.

I don't have a single virus on my computer. All you need is a good firewall and good anti-virus-programs...

My first Ad-Aware run found ~450 traces on a 5 year old computer. Spybot and Spysweeper picked up about 200 more. However, I never had any trouble until last summer, when BOM started those annoying content-covering pop-ups. I am convinced that those pop-ups are what infected me with a home-page-hijacker, which in turn gave me some spyware/viruses that I was never able to get rid of. Yet another reason to stay away from BOM. :? The day before I bought my new computer (it was time anyway) I canceled my dial-up. I have no Internet at home and I love it.
At work we, our network must have multiple firewalls, because Adaware and Spybot only found ~ 4 traces and a few mostly harmless cookie trackers that I clean out every month or so.

hardware firewalls are much better and safer than software firewalls, I agree! but my software firewall is quite good and I don't think I'll have many viruses or worms on my computer the next year...

I don't consider software firewalls worth the cardboard box they come in, hardware firewalls all the way
