Peterson guilty of murder in the 1st degree
I'm interested to see what the reaction to this is.
Personally I think he killed her, and I'm glad he got convicted.
I am actually surprised he got convicted in the 1st degree however, I didn't think there was enough evidence for it, I figured he'd get 2nd degree murder instead.
What are everyone's thoughts on this verdict?

Scott Peterson Convicted of Murdering Wife
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. - Scott Peterson (news - web sites) was convicted Friday of murdering his pregnant wife and dumping her body in San Francisco Bay in what prosecutors in the made-for-cable-TV case portrayed as a cold-blooded attempt to escape marriage and fatherhood for the bachelor life.
Peterson, 32, could get could get the death penalty. He was convicted of one count of first-degree murder for killing his wife, Laci, and one count of second-degree murder in the death of the son she was carrying.

Yea, that's what I heard on the radio. So does he get another trial to determine whether or not he gets the death penalty? I'm glad he was convicted, nonetheless, because I think he did it.

Not because if you do harm to a human being than you deserve death, especially what he did to his wife, and unborn child. He doesn't deserve the luxury of being in prision, he deserves death!

And we have the ability to determine who lives and who dies?

Well, we have the ability, but whether it's right or now is the question, right?

Yes, thanks for the correction chirs
Don't get me wrong. I think this asshole deserves to be punished, and punished harshly. But I dont think death is going to really do anything to resolve the situation

Yea, I kind of agree with you. I'm mixed on the death penalty issue. On one side, I don't think it's right to take someone's life, even if they commited a serious crime. But on the other, I think about how I would feel if I were Laci's father or brother. Or rather, if something happened to someone in my family. I would probably want the person who did it dead.
