bABA...you are seriously the most ecclectic person I;ve ever virtually met. You're shy and really serious and then you're a little kid, and then other times you look like an 18 year old going through frat initiation and then all of a sudden you're calm and thoughtful again. *gets confused*

Boooooo. If you're so bohemian you should do a *pants party* for me.
I was in Glascow for a whole 10 minutes when my plane got rerouted there. So uh, yeah...

I can tell, don't worry, I think we're all like that, only you have about 4 sides instead of two..so it must get confusing.

Dolce - just as well you never got off, only 12.69% of Glasgow is even remotely nice. The rest is like the bowels of hell, as is most of southern scotland.
Edinburghs not actually that great either. Some parts are nice, but again, a huge chunk is really disguisting and depressing. Both cities have flourishing cultures.
You should check out a UK dark comedy called "The Book Group" which is set in this kind of scottish society. Was quite funny.
Aside from that avoid anything in the uk that isnt The Norfolk Broads, north scotland or London like the plague. Because its just so depressing.
Anyway. My tupence is up.
Night team crazy-and-slightly-scary.

Well the people in Edinburgh were the nicest I'd met on any of my travels. I stuck to the center city and a bit of the area after you cross that main road that has the bombed out tower. Everything I saw was good. Nice day life and a lot of intelligent people, and a very fun nightlife. You must know I'm a medieval art historian, so these places hold immense appeal to me architecturally.
My pics off now too. Hope the three of you enjoyed the bABA and dolce show?

Awwwww...You didn't like my pic? I thought it was kinda embarrassing. Not as much as yours, but then again... I'm kinda shy, so that's probably not gonna happen in my life if there's a camera around.

I heard that the overnight ratings for the Baba and Dolce show were through the roof. But critical reception has been pretty harsh - branding it pornographic and indecent. Stupid critics.
Yeah Edinburgh is a pretty nice city when you get to the right places - but UK cities really dont do it for me. I went on a day of museum crusing in London a few weeks back - honestly i dont know how the Tate modern gets away with filling such a huge building with...so little. The only stuff i could take really was external shots or abstract interiors of the Modern Design museum. http://naturalflux.deviantart.com/gallery/
But my real obsession lies with Paris and Rome - although Parisians are some of the least friendly people ive ever met, they sure are pretty - and so is the city. Im going to Norway this summer - Paris for my birthday and Rome backpacking sometime in 06.
Exciting

Oh sweet mother of God! Rome? La citta che sempre aperta? Ok...if we even vaguely know eachother about two months to six weeks before you go you have to remind me. I used to live in Rome (Right behind Vatican City actually) and will tell you everything. All the stuff that isn't necessarily listed in the books (though the necropolis found its way into one of the guides I was flipping through recently). The necropolis under St. Peters requires one month advanced booking (can be done via internet) so You really need to remember that. Its the gem of Rome that no one knows about and it also means you'll get to see more of Michelangelo's architectural work on St. Peter's since its not visible from the front because of the Maderna addition during the counter-reformation. Oh and the bone church....a couple people have seen me post pics of it already. And San. Clemente. I could talk forever.....
