Congratulations to everyone,
So sorry i wasn't able to be there live......and was so busy today that i couldn't read the whole thread until now......
Great read, and i always enjoy reading people's speeches and how they put all the nominees on the chopping block......
BTW - I totally do not love CGI :x and do not have a huge DVD collection of them
And it is so fitting that the first Honarary Awards goes to Eagle, no on deserves it more.......congrats

THe pre show part was a success as well as the actual award ceremony. Hopefully next time we do this, there will be more nominations, which in turn means more posters peaking their head in, and an overall bigger awards ceremony. I was sad not to see Ripper or Krem there.
I think torrino, dolce and zing got snubbed a few things.
I am sorry I was not there, but I just didn;t have the time. I was doign work last night, finals are kicking my ass and I am just giving them
Coutnign takes alot fo the excitement out of the actual awards since I know all the winners. I will go back adn read all the speeches today, as I like doing that.
I vote for once a year for the awards since we have the movie awards and Tony and bAba's awards, that is three awards show a year.
I think the movie awards should be held around the smae time as the Oscars, maybe even after to give evryone the chance to se emore movies.
That is my two cents.
Congratulations to all the nominees and winners, thank you to all those who participated and attended the awards.

It's still hard to ignore tha fact that you two kinda cheated in giving me my award.
I looked long and hard at it and David Hasselhoff's signature of approval was nowhere to be found!!

We played around with some suggestions for future ones.
These include:
1. Counters must vote early on. In the first two or so days (out of the ten day period).
2. Limiting the amount of times voters can write the same name on each ballot. That is not to say someone might not get more noms, but we thought that each person should only be allowed to write the same name on a ballot three times (vs. voting down the line for the same person). That way, voters need to slow down, look around, and flesh out their picks. There are many great posters on this board, but some of them are just a bit *quieter.* If you are going to vote for someone as Best Overall, is there really a need to vote them in each individual category as well? Its kind of assumed their great at all those categories if they are already best overall. But even then, you, the voter, still have two more chances to list a name in categories you think are particularly relevant.
Just two suggestions. Let me kno what you think, and congratulations everyone once again.
If anyone really is dyin to know how they did in a category, please pm me, and, while a cannot tell you the turnout of the entire category, I can tell you how many people voted for you in particular.

well, I didn't count the nom round, but I know I wanted you on my desert island, and also put you down as smartest poster. That's it though. :x I needed to struggle to fit 39 people on my ballot in one way or another. So no one I think even got more than three from me.
Rod gets my vote now for "quickest on his feet." You held up beautifully last night all things considered. so, do you want a semi-permanent gig? we'd love to have you back.

Rod should be the 'Billy Crystal' of WoKJ.
After reading through the thread he seemed to do very well. Now we just need some more song and dance!
It seemed great and I can't wait until the next one, where i should be able to participate more. Thanks again for everything everyone has said, your all too kind.
I think alot of great posters didn't even get nominated, but in the end a lot of great posters did get recognized which is so warranted. Hopefully by next time we will have double the participartion, a lofty goal, but here's to hoping.

Some posters I think should have won atleast something or have got nominated were DP07, torrino, Mr. X, lovemerox, and a few others. I wish they would have won something, they really deserved it.

You know considering that 2% of the US, and an even lower percentage of the developed world is Jewish, it's suprising how many jewish people are on these boards.

I don't mean to brag, but I wonder how many votes I was off from winning predictor, if you can do that.

@ Appy. Check out the thread. I know you wanted to be there. Take a little peak at the desert island winners.
@ Scott. I said I would pm anyone who had a request to know their count. I am not at my computer right now (in the library) but I will pm it to you as soon as possible.
@DP07....I know. Its cause we own the entertainment and media businesses. That's what the rest of the world gets for not allowing us to hold property for so many centuries.
