We need to make up a great name for our awards (not the KJ's). Then award websites will post our results.

International Society of Cinema Elitists Awards :-k

I've talked to Eagle about e-mailing the studios once someone wins. Who knows, maybe if we all rally behind a small indie film one year, our name will be printed on the website. That'd be cool! ;)

Torrino what about the aviator?

Well, it's possible and I do expect Scorsese to get the nod in Best Director. But, I don't think enough people love the film to garner it a nomination. It seems like everyone "likes" it, but no one finds it outstanding. Finding Neverland is mixed, so it COULD get it. Sideways still hasn't been seen by enough people on the boards. Closer is likely because it's got the emotional appeal and, while it's mixed, its supporters are much more firm on their stance than Finding Neverland supporters.

I'd bet my life on two things, though. Garden State getting the nod for Soundtrack and Eternal getting the nod for Picture.

Well, actually a lot more. Like Dawn of the Dead and Spider-Man 2 for Best Sequel and Anchorman for Comedy. But, shh, I don't want to be held accountable for it...

I think Napoleon Dynamite will get jack sheet.

It is. I can see a Passion, Collateral, Eternal, Garden State, and Closer line up.

I think M$B will get it. It's on sooo many lists here ;)

Impossible, I see Sideways and M$B getting through, but sadly, not my ultimate choice, Finding Neverland.

I think Kill Bill, Eternal Sunshine, will sneak into the best pic category over Aviator and Ray.

Also, I'm going to venture a couple of surprises with Maria and Motorcycle due to aggressive campaigning tactics.

I think Gael will get the nod, as will Catalina. Expect a Motorcycle nod in Adapted Screenplay, just because there isn't much else...

Galia...

I honestly hope our "aggressive campaigning tactics" for Bad Education worked out. If it's not nominated for a single thing, i'm gonna be rather dissapointed.

Damn straight!
I think it'll go through on score and that's about it, which is too bad, because it should get at least screenplay, editing, and maybe direction. You know me, I think it should take the whole cake. Did you guys all check out the Countdown to the Oscars on the main page?

Yeah, 5:30pm, Pacific Standard Time. I assume that works the best for the east coast folks, although it could be a little inconvenient for the west coast.

You're just making it more obvious that mine are sooooo wrong...

Are you going to do a procedural thing...Like, release one nomination at a time?
