If that still counts, since he paid for it, my Mini Cooper is the most expensive thing I have. That's similar to what happened with my car... it's in my name, but dad paid for a good part of it and I chipped in a bit as well. I didn't straight up pay for the whole thing. Should've noted that...

I guess that makes me a stalker too.
I'm trying to think of the most expensive thing I've actually bought on my own. Probably my brothers car, which we were supposed to share until I found one I liked better. Basically it turned into his car and my parents are paying me back for it.

Re: What is the most expensive thing you own?
Whenever I'm asked this, I always forget that my computer would be the most expensive thing I have... I have no idea why I forget. Of course, seeing as how it's 3.5 years old, the monitor is on the fritz, and its specs compared to new computers of the same price as I paid for it.... Well, its current value is probably only around rather than above my other two most valuable items--my $300 class ring and my $200 porcelain Irish princess from Franklin Mint.

Yes, it certainly is. But that's Michael for you. If you'd met him, this wouldn't come as a surprise. He's a very giving perosn. But Michael, you little liar! You told me you didn't understand why I talk about my family all the time, and here you are taking such good care of yours. Psht. You're as close to your family as I am to mine! ***** Reading this thread reminds me of something. People always ask me how I can offord the rent to live in such a nice neighborhood in NYC on what I make. I always say the same thing: 1. Its tiny as hell. People who want big spaces probably pay just as much as I do though they live elsewhere. 2. I don't have any dependants, not even a pet (that adds up). 3. I don't own a car...

Re: What is the most expensive thing you own?
My dad gave me an Omega watch worth £1,800 for my birthday a while back. I think that's probably the most expensive thing I've got lying around.
Unless Joe and Mac Caveman Ninja on the SNES is as rare as I think it is, in which case I'm quids in!

My mom intends to live there for the foreseeable future, but if or whenever she chooses to sell it, with the way real estate market has gone in Beijing and how much Chinese currency has appreciated against the dollar, it has been a nice investment too.

Re: What is the most expensive thing you own?
Well being that I lost my house in a divorce this year, the most expensive thing I own would be my truck, Silverado 2500hd ex-cab. Then my quads.

RAWSAW wrote: TonyMontana wrote: The Montana Ranch Hey, you're another one with a monster dvd collection. Did you take out any extra insurance on them? No insurance on the collection. Heck, I'm not even sure they're really worth that much anymore. You can buy lots on Ebay for about $1.50 per DVD! I've actually been trying to cap my collection at around 2000 just out of space issues... especially once I started collecting every TV show set I could. Those things take up so much space. So, I took to the very painful process of selling a few of them off just to keep the number down under 2000. It was like selling my kids, even though I only sold the crap (anything that won an Oscar).

I could store another 400-500 more and that will take awhile for me to accumulate. Yes, selling some off would kill me. Hey, if we sell our kids we could use their bedroom for storage!!! Maybe even new media rooms!!! LOL
