Has anyone else fallen in love with the fragrance line by Givenchy. Oh me love so much. Xeryus Rouge, Very Irresitable and Pi are the most beautiful things I have ever covered myself in.

I'm also really impressed with the Gucci sunglasses I just purchased. I've only had my Ray Bans for like three months and I'm meant to be saving for the year long vacation that I've currently booked at the end of the year.

I bought some Dior Homme shades about 3 weeks ago. I love the look and feel of them. I really overpaid though.

I've never tried Givenchy. I'll have to give it a shot.

Considering Australian department stores have 100% markups on fragrances, i go to ebay. I pay less than half price for the real thing. I just go to department store to spray different parts of my body, but sometimes they have gift packs and exclusives which aren't that bad.

i think its mainly my age. The body has a way of having a hormone and testosterone imbalance right up till the early twenties and thats what causes acne. If your unlucky enough to have this continue into your late twenties onwards then id defo be using accutane. But right now a good regime and a lot of water seem to be all that works for me.

At the end of the day. Spots are spots. It can be a very confidence denting thing but at the end of the day its not the aesthetic which matters. There are much worse things that could happen. Grin and bear it is my new ethic.

Trimethoprim. Ask your doctor about it.

I've finally given up a few months ago.
I went to the doctors about my skin to which he responded it "wasnt that serious" and he could "barely notice it"

This was obviously not acceptable to me. So he gave me doxycycline. Didnt work, upped my dosage a month on, then i became more ill than i ever have been, changed me onto Euthromycin which didnt help. So i stopped the antibiotics, stopped proactiv.

The only thing i use now is the occasional face mask and a simple mosturizer after cleansing with water and a very simple face cleanser. That might seem a lot, but its about 20 less things than i was doing before.

Seeing the dermatologist next week upon my request, my skins not looking so hot right now. Will be interested to see what im prescribed. Its unfortunate, i've done everything i can think of right now. The more i try, the worse it gets.

Also, the David Beckham fragrance is surprisingly quite nice and masculine. I like it.

Are you talking about Intimately for Him, the one where Victoria "designed" the bottle because I agree, its rather nice.

Gucci Pour Homme II is another great one, but Givenchy still has the best range.

The new Gucci is a great fragrance. I like the new Beckham as well. This thread clicks well.

I ran out of Terre D'Hermes, so I just got two new fragrances. Now, I truly smell middle eastern.

Bulgari au the blanc
Hermes Equipage

Both are delicious. The Bulgari is unisex and for day (perhaps a little feminine). The Hermes is for candlelit steak dinners on mahogany tables (and other such occasions).

Def. suggest trying Bulgari and Hermes scents.

I use to use CK one during the day. That one is very unisexual.

There is a tiny little fly circling my laptop. That speaks volumes for how i smell right now.

In addition, on a topical form of accutane called Isotrex, similar to Retin-A. I really pushed the docs to give me something to clear it up. So as a result im enduring the worst breakout ever, apparently gets worse before it improves. Fantastic. I will go to work experience in london looking like a gigantic human spot.

I'd like to bathe in Bulgari White Tea cologne.

It's that good. Bulgari is def. my second favorite brand for fragrances, after Hermes. If one of my friends didn't wear Blu Notte and Pour Homme, I would wear both in an instant.

This isn't really about metrosexual grooming, but I figure the people in here like da torri would be able to help me.

I don't really know much about individual clothing stores, and for years I've really been one to go cheap in particular when it comes to buying jeans (like $20 jeans - yeah, I'm cheap). I have some sweet money to spend though with a gift card and am interested in buying a pair of more expensive, quality but not too ridiculously expensive jeans. So a mid-range priced pair of quality jeans. What are some of the best places to shop for jeans do you guys think based on your own experience?

Thanks to anyone who helps. :)

Peace,
Mike

7 for all mankind are my favorites. These range in price from about $150 usd to god knows where. But I think they're worth it. Not all "premium" jeans are the same. Rock and Republic, Citizens, True Religion, etc... all fit me horribly, are too flashy, and cost about $50-ish more, anyways.

Banana Republic and Gap also have flattering fits, and are durable, but often have quality control issues (e.g: I have two pairs of slim straight-leg Banana Republic jeans, same year, just different finishes. One fits me better than the other, the other is noticeably tighter around my thighs). Gap is around $50, Banana around $80-90.

If they ship to Canada...try Saks or Barney's online. Urbanoutfitters is a good shop for jeans, so is Nordstrom. I don't know much about online-only retailers, a lot of designer jeans are counterfeit anyways so stay away from eBay or anything that looks too good to be true.

Really, if you have $300 to spend, I would recommend two pairs of 7 jeans. Get a nice wash/finish, and you'll be able to wear these with anything.

I'm bumping this embarrassing thread b/c I am having shaving issues.

It seems no matter what I do, I always end up with shaving irritation. Either a bump, or a cut, or just red skin. I've tried Norelco and a Fusion...and a Mach 3...and a Sensor Excel (I always run out of cartridges, then am at the supermarket/CVS and am like "well, it costs $12.99 for a new razor with three cartridges, or $14.99 for four cartridges...hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" I know, how unsustainable).

You guys have made yourself handy before. What are your shaving tips? I use simple Edge, but I also have a "fancier" shave cream by a brand called Urth. Anyway, it doesn't give me a better shave (though it does smell better).

Dont buy fancy stuff, you just need to know how to do it right, i guess. I use Edge extra moisturizing and Schick XTreme3 Disposable  I never cut or have any skin irritation, dont have any tips for you sorry. I just do it. Maybe is you have very sensitive skin?...

When I actually "shave" I use Old Spice with a Mach 3.

But I normally just use my electric shaver.

Wow. Is the key to a better shave...shaving more often?

I shaved consecutively for the first time ever today, and to my surprise, got no razor bumps.

I also used Anthony Logistics After-Shave Balm (instead of my normal after shave) and it worked like a dream. NO REDNESS. Really surprised. It's only like $7.00 on eBay...

HOLLAAAAAA

If you shave more often you get your skin conditioned to shaving. So yes, that may be a reason why you had more razor bumps.

I used to shave every day and like the skin around my chin was sort of perma-irritated, so I just dropped down to every other day after graduating from high school (they had rules about facial hair, and I get like a full beard after a few days) and that stopped the irritation for me.

I've heard that shaving with a straight razor is the best way to go, though. But they're expensive, I think, and probably not as easy to deal with.

I've heard too that shaving exfoliates the skin thus men often have younger looking skin in their beard areas than women of comprable age. ;)

And wow just reading back over the acne discussion. I've decided Benzyle Peroxide is the devil. I would put it on and then go get changed into my pajamas (or just take my shirt off before I slept)...turns out this is why a bunch of my shirts had discolored collars. :(

And turns out the only thing that actually works on my face is Erythromyacin. Strong but cheap (most pharmacies have it on their $4 generic lists).

Benzoyl peroxide works wonders for me. I live by it. I use a cleanser in the shower and then 10 mins later, apply BP, then another 10 mins later I use a moisturizer. It keeps my face from looking all pimply like your face.
