I told everybody. Mannings 2013 season and the Broncos 2013 season are perhaps the most statistically overrated seasons in history.
Knew they would be completely unprepared for the Hawks defense.

 Re: Super Bowl
Very mediocre halftime show. Bruno Mars is competent, but he does not have the electrifying star power to fill the stadium the way, say, Prince did or Madonna. And RHCP were, God love them, embarrassing. Isn't this entire deal lip-synced? Why did it sound as if they were the victim of an awful live mix? Their involvement made no sense on paper or in practice.

 Re: Super Bowl
I didn't know Renee Fleming would be singing the national anthem! She's not one of my favorites, but it's awesome having the first opera singer at the event rather than a random pop singer.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine and New Girl should have flipped positions. So-so New Girl episode that was probably bizarre to those who had never seen the show.

And Seinfeld, Full House and Kurt Russell.
Also Namath getting stiff armed by the Ref at the coin toss was great too.

The best commercials were probably the puppy one, RadioShack, and the Muppets but overall the commericals weren't very good.

 Re: Super Bowl
plz sit.
Bruno MArs did awesome, sure it was no Beyawn or Madge... but anyone not named Britney Spears or Pink can pull off a show like those two.

 Re: Super Bowl
The commercials have pretty much sucked for the past decade so that was no surprise. My pick for the worst would be the Kia Morpheus commercial. That was a complete waste of $3 million. The Full House commercial was probably my favorite and Budweiser was adorable as always.
And speaking of commercials, that Verizon commercial with Terry Bradshaw and the little girl just seems unintentionally mean now.
Caught the tail end of the halftime show. It didn't seem like I missed much.
The game did come as a shock though. I liked the Seahawks, but a blowout was pretty much unfathomable coming in. And they held Manning to 8! 8 POINTS!. Denver was favored by 2.5!
I can't wait to see the ratings tomorrow and how many casual viewers bailed by the end of halftime.

 Re: Super Bowl
Ellen's commercial was absolutely the worst. Arnold was good, but after being hyped so much, it was kind of a letdown

 Re: Super Bowl
Jeez. Confusing "your" and you're", though I doubt some of them even realize the difference..., is bad enough, but the fact that some people still think "American" is a language is sad.

 Re: Super Bowl
For anyone interested - Biggest Super Bowl Blowouts
1. Super Bowl XXIV (1990): San Francisco 49ers 55 - Denver Broncos 10 2. Super Bowl XX (1986): Chicago Bears 46 - New England Patriots 10 3. Super Bowl XLVIII (2014): Seattle Seahawks 43 - Denver Broncos 8 -- Super Bowl XXVII (1993): Dallas Cowboys 52 - Buffalo Bills 17 4. Super Bowl XXII (1988): Washington Redskins 42 - Denver Broncos 10
- The Broncos have now been on the wrong side of three Super Bowl blowouts. -- All of these blowouts have come when they've worn orange jerseys. The two wins came wearing blue and white.
- The Broncos have now joined a list (that no one thought they'd appear on) of teams who have scored under 10 points in a Super Bowl.
Super Bowl VI (1972) - Miami Dolphins 3 - Lost 24-3 to the Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl XI (1975) - Minnesota Vikings 6 - Lost 16-6 to the Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl III (1969) - Baltimore Colts 7 - Lost 16-7 to the New York Jets Super Bowl IV (1970) - Minnesota Vikings 7 - Lost 23-7 to the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl VII (1973) - Washington Redskins 7 - Lost 14-7 to the Miami Dolphins Super Bowl VIII (1974) - Minnesota Vikings 7 - Lost 24-7 to the Miami Dolphins Super Bowl XXXV (2000) - New York Giants 7 - Lost 35-7 to the Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl XLVIII (2014) - Denver Broncos 8 - Lost 43-8 to the Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl XVIII (1984) - Washington Redskins 9 - Lost 38-9 to the Los Angeles Raiders
Seven teams have scored 10 points. (None of them won) No team has ever been shutout.
Also, I joking said when that Coke commercial popped up, that the entire state of Texas was screaming at their TV's. Sadly, I was pretty much proven right.

Knew they would be completely unprepared for the Hawks defense. It's just one game. Football is the sport most prone to flukes. Payton still set the SB record for comps.

This would probably be more appropriate for the NFL thread, but I'll ask it here anyways. What was the average yards per catch? Edit: Found it. 8.2 yards per completion. Wilson finished with 11.4. Wilson had 16 less attempts, but Denver also had to pretty much abandon the run halfway through the second quarter so of course Manning was going to throw more. That's as hollow a record if there ever was one.
