Alles Gute zum Geburtstag, Dr. Lecter!
Sorry, I couldn't resist. I suppose the sentiment of wishing you a happy birthday is cancelled out by the image above. So it's neither bad nor good. It's neutral. Seriously, have a good one.

It's funny that you seem to think of Lecter as 'the German'.

Thanks everyone. Getting drunk will have to wait until the next weekend. Argos wrote: It's funny that you seem to think of Lecter as 'the German'. Isn't it funny that you don't?

Because it is defined by birthplace?

No, but because if there is such a thing as 'the German', that is the quintessential German with all of Germany's history on his back, you are a fairly bad candidate to represent it - especially, if I recall correctly, regarding the Holocaust and the war. In the same vein, I think of Magnus as an American, but he is hardly 'the American', and it would seem odd to tease him with references to the Civil War.

Re: Alles Gute zum Geburtstag, Dr. Lecter!
Maybe people tease Dr. Lecter because he knows how to take a joke, and he is in the minority here as 'the German'...most members are American.

When the candles on your birthday cake are miniature Orthodox rabbis made of wax, you have to expect people to comment.

There is a Schutzstaffel Revival Party in Arthur's pants, and everyone is invited.
