Honestly, I wouldn't call a person that eats fish a vegetarian, and i'm pretty sure they wouldn't call themselves a vegetarian, either.

Well, he does eat fish, but he calls himself a "semi-vegetarian", which is exactly what he is.
If he went around saying "I'm a vegetarian", it would be different. He is up front about it from the start, though.

Just from the strictly moral standpoint.
That the films are about carnage and death and in a way, you are slightly supporting that industry, even though it is entertainment. To me it's like saying, "I'm really, really into Christianity, but I'm addicted to porn."
It's one of those weird little things to me.
Pay no mind, I'm not trying to make a deeper point.

It's like conservative republicans and Christians... somehow those two just don't line up for me.
I'm supporting the industry of carnage and death? Really? How are they doing on the open market? They trade under C&D, right?
I do see your point, but make believe violence doesn't upset me. If the violence in horror films was real, i'd clearly not be a fan. Infact, I denounce one of the most famous horror films of all time, Cannilbal Holocaust, because it does feature actual animal torture. I think it's a disgusting film, and i've been roundly ridiculed for my stance by fellow horror fans.
I think your porn/Christianity comparison is way off, too. A Christian watching porn is hypocritcial because they denounce those that do. I don't denounce people that eat meat. I could really care less. I've never been a fan of the "in your face" vegetarians that disown you for getting a soda at McDonalds.

Yeah, that's why I said I was a semi-vegetarian. I make no bones about it.
Except fish bones.

I don't believe in "semi-vegetarianism." If you eat ANY meat, even if it's fish once a month, you're not vegetarian. [-(
I keep a vegetarian kitchen. I don't prepare any meat at home, except for the occasional Lean Cuisine.

If you prepare ANY meat, then your kitchen is not a vegetarian kitchen.
