Re: NBA Thread - Trilogy Inevitable?
Cavs need to stop turning the ball over, and need to pound the ball inside. This isn't rocket science.

Cavs down 0-1. I'm rooting for them. I just cannot stand the Warriors nor the player who shall not be named.

Durant is such a bitch that he might have ruined the league. And will he join the Cavs next year if they come back again?

Re: NBA Thread - Trilogy Inevitable?
I didn't see the game, but I'm guessing the Cavs non-existent defense finally got exposed? Based on the box score it looks like the Warriors could've put up 70 in the second half if their starters played all the way through.
Hopefully the Cavs show up in Game 2. I don't want them to win (if both teams could catch a flesh eating disease that'd be great), but I do want the series I was promised. As awesome as it would be for a team to go 16-0, you know the NBA is sweatin' it out and hoping the Cavs get one. They don't need a modern day version of the 60s Celtics, especially if the best player in the league isn't on that team.

Re: NBA Thread - Trilogy Inevitable?
Cavs defense was bad , but the problem was the offense. They were forced into Lebron/Kyrie iso ball on every play less than a quarter into the game.

Re: NBA Thread - Trilogy Inevitable?
I haven't watched NBA basketball since Jordan retired. I'm watching game 2 right now. What a sad state of basketball. These are the best two teams right? I see a lot of talent, but I see a lot of careless play and whining about no calls. Seriously, the "best" player in basketball stays behind to ask the ref about a no call when the opposing team goes down on a fast break??? Why take a contested 3 point shot when you have nobody in the box to rebound? Why foul a 3 point shot? These are seriously dumb basketball decisions that I wouldn't expect a lot of in the NBA finals. I've seen A LOT of it in one half of basketball.

Competitiveness aside I'm happy to see Curry and Durant put up a Finals like this so far

I think Cavs win tonight. Warriors are flying high right now, maybe higher than anyone ever, but they are still a sawft team full of people who have historically played poorly in their biggest moments.

At least there was 1 good game in these finals.
I'm going to predict Cavs trade Love for George this offseason giving them the Durant counter on defense

Re: NBA Thread - Trilogy Inevitable?
Cavs have em figured out they just weren't able to hit the big shot at the end (it would have only took one). Warriors will probably win tomorrow and finish the 16-0, but this Warriors team isn't worthy of that and Cavs could definitely come back if they just catch a few breaks.

Re: NBA Thread - Trilogy Inevitable?
And that's what happens when the Cavs actually make their 3s. Hopefully they can stay hot on Monday. Why do the Warriors get to change the rules though? They already have enough advantages. "Oh, Draymond, you don't wanna come out of the game? Ok we will switch your technical foul over to someone else."

Well the Cavs now have to hope there is another former mvp out there who is also a coward with a lack of competive spirit.

See ya in two years NBA! Let me know if someone snaps their leg next season on the Warriors. That's the only way the season becomes interesting.

Re: NBA Thread - What Now?
So lets say both Pauls wind up going to the Spurs and Cavs as rumored. How much does that really help? Too bad Russ signed that extension. He could have gone to the Rockets and made things somewhat fun.

Re: NBA Thread - What Now?
The only thing that'll stop the Warriors over the next couple of years are injuries.
That's it.

Re: NBA Thread - What Now?
If Chris Paul goes to the Spurs, I'd watch the Warriors/Spurs series. But that's about it.
