I think it was the wrong call. He didn't seem set to me. I do agree Boeheim probably should have shown more restraint to give his team a chance to win.

Meanwhile the Jayhawks looked scary good last night. If they play like that throughout March, they will win the national title.

And another Big XII championship marking ten in a row, and making history for the modern era. Three more to go baby it can and will be done!

Michigan ONCE AGAIN started awful. Then made a furious comeback, only to foul towards the end. Up to that point, Purdue had been 100% on FT's. And amazingly the guy missed his FT, which essentially was the difference in the game.

Also, GRIII making an incredible shot.

And the conference is Michigan's outright for the first time in my life.

Awesome.

Nobody wants that last number one seed with Syracuse falling apart, Duke losing to Wake Forest, and now Kansas losing to West Virginia. No team with 8 loses have ever got a 1. I think it is between Villanova and Wisconsin right now.

Post Re: College Basketball 2013-14 Season
With Wiggins starting to live up to the hype and Embiid returning, and the end of the road BIG XII games, Kansas will be one scary fucking team. If they click no one can beat them. I mean they lost that game bad, but in that final five minutes, they were scary good.

Still it is hard so say who is the favorite. Kansas won by far the toughest conference this year, but they don't play consistent. Duke's got great potential, but again, like most great teams this year, they lack consistency. Florida has consistency, but they play in easily the weakest conference, even Kentucky is weak this year as the distant second best team in that conference. Syracuse is falling apart, and Wichita State is simply a mid-major powerhouse, more like Gonzaga of last year than the afore mentioned teams.

I think Arizona (despite their loss today) and North Carolina enter the tournament as the best two teams prior to the big dance.

I am very interested to see how Kansas will play again on a neutral court, and how the mighty Big XII will play outside of conference (especially as they sported a few undefeated teams entering conference play, anyone who doubts their mighty is delusional, but that is not to say they will dominate March like the Big East and ACC of old)

I still think Wichita is much better team than Gonzaga last year. Gonzaga was a team that relied on an inside game too much and weren't very athletic. Wichita is a athletic fast team that has good outside shooting. I think they will at least go to the Sweet 16 beyond that will depend on the matchups. I will say this year is very wide open unlike the last two years where Louisville and Kentucky were just the most dominant teams. This season reminds of 2011 where you had a weird final four of no number ones with the highest seed being a 4.

Yeah, Wichita is a very good team. They are in the top 10 for both offensive and defensive efficiencies at Kenpom ranking.

Wisconsin lost as well, so Villanova is the default 4th No. 1 seed I guess, but I don't see them winning their conference tournament, so everybody else still has a shot. Either way, I agree this is as wide open a year as I could remember, and I would not be surprised to see a 16-seed to come close to upset a 1-seed. It's just too bad that we have had some upsets in the smaller conference tournaments that weaken the strength of 16 seeds.

Villanova can win the Big East, especially since Creighton has been struggling lately. They do probably need to win it to clinch the 1st seed. Yeah this has been a crazy season. I am going to hate filling out my bracket.

I have no idea what Michigan is going to do in the tournament...

But they've been playing really well lately.

Nova loses to Seton Hall, so their number 1 hopes are over. So, it could be the ACC champion (Duke, Virginia, or maybe even Syracuse), Big 10 winner (Michigan or Wisconsin), Kansas, or I would throw Louisville in there if they can win out, it could get them a 2 at least.

Kansas should, will not, and does not deserve a number one seed. With Embiid back if we advance to the second weekend, sure, we might just win the whole thing, but with eight or nine losses going in, no way should we be given the number one seed. Yes we have more big time wins than anyone else, but losses are losses

I think Big 10 tournament champion, if it falls to Michigan and Wisconsin, will get that No. 1 seed. If those two don't win it, the ACC champion will get that No. 1 seed. Louisville's schedule just isn't strong enough to compete with the other teams for that spot.

I think Louisville gets the 2 over Nova (as long as they win their tourney). Nova losing to Seton Hall to me is embarrassing.

I just hope Michigan doesn't lose to Illinois in 90 minutes.

Michigan should win. There are several bubble games on today. Florida State probably needs to beat Virginia, otherwise they aren't getting in. Providence would be better off beating Seton Hall. You also have the bubble game between Dayton and St. Joes (although they might both get in), and Minnesota needs a win against Wisconsin.

Michigan just survived and St. Bonaventure upset St. Louis (who have been really struggling lately). Florida State looks done after losing to Virginia. I can't see how they get in.

Syracuse, North Carolina, and Kansas all get upset. Kansas can forget a number 1 seed now. Syracuse looks awful. I wouldn't be shocked if they lose their opening game right now. I don't think NC State gets in, considering their weak out of conference schedule. They probably need to win at least one more game and that might not be enough. Louisville was impressive again. I watch out for them in the tourney.

Post Re: College Basketball 2013-14 Season
Kansas needed Embiid that game. With the Big 12 (best conference of the year mind you) defensive player of the year, Niang doesn't get those easy twos. Watch out for Kansas when Embiid is back, they'll knock your socks off when the defense clicks.

Also Iowa State and their fucking threes, I hate that team, racist bastards (seriously read about Iowa State fans and their loss to Kansas last year in Aimes)

But yes, Louisville looks like a hell of a team right now.

Yeah they really missed him in that game. They are probably looking at a 2 in the south right now. I still would put Louisville at a 2 over Nova.

I also think the Big 10 winner is getting the number one seed.
