Those great memories! Anyhow at least Neowolf, excel, revolutions, magnus and Filmore are being a good sport about it. Oh I think Zing, me and Killumanti actually upped our prediction because excel's constant preaching of the movie made us move away from the under 200 bracket!!You bastard!

He was a moron though. Not for his prediction, but for his in your face analysis and acerbic tongue against anyone who disagreed with him.

And getting people banned by posting false statements and quotes by people who disagree with him. I now wonder if he really is Sean's buddy because I have noticed the posters here who said they were banned by Sean because of him

That Kael El guy is now like a legend at BOM :hahaha: . I think he even surpassed BKB and his debacle with the Hulk and his out of context quote about ROTK :hahaha:

one thing we are realizing.

just like batman, changing it from fri to wed. didnt work out.

had this opened on june30th in stead of 28th,it would of gotten 78-81 million 3 day and around 115 for the 5 day.

21 million on a wedneday is around 28 million on a friday in my book. itd drop as tad to 27 on saturday and then go to around 25 on sunday, for 3 day around 80 million. monday would be around 21 with tuesday around 12. 113 5 day.

had it opened on a friday, it would of had more going into pirates then it will when it opened on a wednesday though it would fall 60% instead of 50% :nonono: :disgust:

I think Superman could go the way of T3. It is very possible you could see a 50 mill opening and end with about 175-180. Maybe I need to see some more marketing for this because the way it stands now, it looks quite tame and a little lame as well. And who the hell is the guy playing Superman? I just don't think the demand for a superman is there.

My early guess is:
55
183
400 WW

Just want to point out that this was my first guess back in January.

I've noticed one common thing in all of teh crazy predictions in this thread. Those who thought it would be huge based it on market awareness. They showed us Superman lunch buckets, and the giant S on sod cans, and all magazines with superman as their main story and comics and Wendy's hamburgers and the list is infinite. While this will go toward lessening the blow when it comes to the overall budget of the film, it does not mean that people are going to see the film just because Superman is now on their underwear. It's opening day indicates that there were a fair bit of people who were aware of it and wanted to see it, but then that so little talked about thing called word of mouth kicked in. To say the least it was underwhelming. It was the same with Matrix Reloaded. The hype was omnipotent, but to many the film disappointed. And that is the one key thing here that was overlooked. The film couldn't possibly suck, because hey, it's Superman!! Well, it did suck, for the most part and it's suffering now because of it. ;)

Dude, I could go through all 100+ pages of this thread and pick out all kinds of assinine quotes. This was just a small sample. And yes, after certain psoters told me I was on crack to predict a total of about 50 mill for the weekend, I am going to beat my chest for a while.

Heh. If Superman Returns did open to massive numbers this weekend, all the supporters would be bragging like it's their job. I think it's fair for the rest of us to at least return the favor.

You mean 7.7. Probably end up at 7.5 or lower.

It won't stay at 52. I think it'll go down to about 50.

It'll go lower than 7.5. The 7.5 is still inflated by all teh WB plants and all the Loonies who voted 10 before even seeing it.

i think the entire superman story(his clark kent/superman duel, the lois lane love story, ect), hell the whole "superman at cinema" expirience is too big, to...mainstream to not get atleast 250 million. id say-if the iflm is any good-250 million-340 tops. i think itll be good and open absolutly huge-possibly sith sized but pirates will chop its legs in 2, which will make i stop around 325 million in the u.s.

if its bad though, were looking at 245 million. i think this film will open-baring it opens as scheduled on a friday-to a minimum of 75 million, 85 probable, 100 million possible.

with bad reviews:

opening-70 3 day-110 5 day
end total-245
overseas-325
ww total=570 million

with mixed-most negative-
opening-80 3 day-125 5 day
end total-260 l
overseas-360
ww total-620 million

with mixed-mostly postive

opening-90 million 3 day-140 5 day
end total-300
overseas-425
ww total-725 million

with all positive-

105 million opening-150 5 day
end total-325
overseas-500
ww total-825 million

I think you have to set the bar much much lower :hahaha:
