 Rocky III
Rocky III Quote: Rocky III is a 1982 American film that is the third installment in the Rocky film series. It is written and directed by and stars Sylvester Stallone as the title character, with Carl Weathers as former boxing rival Apollo Creed, Burgess Meredith as Rocky's trainer Mickey, and Talia Shire as Rocky's wife, Adrian.
Rocky's opponent is James "Clubber" Lang, played by Mr. T. Lang is a younger and more aggressive boxer than Rocky. He is brash, arrogant, outspoken, and immensely strong. This role made Mr. T an icon, leading to him being one of the first elements outlined for The A-Team television series. The film also features professional wrestler Terry "Hulk Hogan" Bollea as the supporting character "Thunderlips". This role brought Hogan to the attention of a widespread audience.
The film's theme song "Eye of the Tiger", was written by the group Survivor at the request of Stallone, and became a smash hit single, topping the US Billboard music charts and received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song.

Stallone formula should have gotten tired by now, but is a great addition to the series. Looking back on the films, Everyone always talks about how strong a villian Ivan Drago was, But I personally think Clubber Lang was Rocky's Toughest Villian. Mr. T, though horrible in everything else, played a perfect fast talking, rediculously strong, prick. Felt horrible when Micky Died, and Rocky's defeat was also a shock. Rocky has always been about coming up with a great strategy to defeat his opponent, with the exception of 4, revenge. We get to see the affects of a fighter whose lost his edge.
Although its not as well thought as switching from a southpaw to a righty, it is mighty fun to watch him train his rythm. Great score, very well made, if short final fight, and some of the punches can be seen missed, but it is still brilliantly executed. This Was Rocky and Stallone in his prime, and is still great to watch even today.

 Re: Rocky III
Another excellent sequel, it's not as strong in character development and story as the previous two films. Challenges many 2nd sequels face, but in the way this film re-invents the franchise again it still turn in some of the best 3rd films in a franchise ever. Rocky's character isn't as interesting when not the underdog, but Adrian's and Apollo's contributions in this are great and it just manages to find a way to add layers with Mickey's death and Rocky fighting Mr. T twice. It also feels like a very natural sequel with Rocky living the World Champion life and the film's only real letdown actually, is that the second Mr. T. fight is over too soon, and therefor breaking with Rocky tradition to having an epic fight in it. But that last Apollo - Rocky scene is a fantastic scene, and the Eye of the Tiger song, there just isn't a better film theme song in my book.
