 Best Game of 1998?
Yep, that's right, video games are breaking out of their designed thread. It's necessary though, cause 1998 was absurdly stacked. In terms of historical relevance and making all timer classics, I think the game industry beat both the film and music industry pretty comfortably this year.
Poll choices are in order of popularity on backloggd (video game version of letterbox). Didn't even need to include remakes/rereleases/remasters to get to 20. And there's actually even more that I couldn't even fit in there lol.

Damn this is stacked. Video games in the 90s ruled.
1. Banjo Kazooie 2. Ocarina of Time 3. Grim Fandango 4. Starcraft 5. Mario Party 6. Nhl 99 7. 1080

I thought it might be hard, but actually easy one for me: Metal Gear Solid.

Metal Gear Solid or World Cup 98. I played both excessively.

Yes, WC98 was great too, but I didn't see it on the list and also all the Fifa games been kind of great for me, I can't recall actually whether I played WC98 more or less than Fifa 98 or 99.

Metal Gear Solid, NHL 98 and F1 97 were the only ones I played in 98.
So not a gamer lol.

But we're all on MGS, so that was an epic game for sure!

 Re: Best Game of 1998?
I think MGS is, objectively, the best game. Even more so than Ocarina which I am surprised that nobody has voted for yet. Especially since the original holds up splendidly which is just not the case for most action games from the past (well, Psycho Mantis can't read my memory card anymore, but that's besides the point.) However, ten year old Flava'd would not have it at the top, and 36 (soon to be 37) year old Flava'd wouldn't pick it as my top choice to replay right now or go to an island with if you prefer the scenario. The 90s platformers will always have my heart.
1. Spyro The Dragon 2. Crash Bandicoot Warped 3. Metal Gear Solid 4. Ocarina of Time 5. Mario Party 6. WCW vs NWO Revenge 7. Banjo Kazooie 8. Pokemon Yellow 9. Pokemon Trading Card Game 10. Sonic Adventure
Not ranking Resident Evil 2 since I like the remake with the modern engine so much more.

 Re: Best Game of 1998?
Aside from Flava's 1998 fetish, I was thinking about the best game of all-time yesterday, and I landed on Die Hard Trilogy.
