Re: The Football thread
Really? I didn't check for a few days but the last I heard was that he's off to Saudi Arabia. And La Liga has just approved Barcelona's lastest financial plan, so he may also be going back to Spain. Actually, MLS is the only place I haven't heard he's going, lol

OK, I just checked BBC Sport. He's off to Inter Miami for retirement.

Re: The Football thread
2030 World Cup hosts: Morocco, Spain, Portugal, Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay (some teams have to play in South America for a game and then fly to Europe/Africa) 2034 frontrunner: Saudi Arabia
I guess nobody can afford the World Cup these days. China has probably avoided it cause their team having to play would be embarrassing.

Re: The Football thread
The teams that have to fly across the atlantic kinda get screwed here, but I like the idea of smaller countries splitting the bill rather than one country just building a bunch of new stadiums that will never be used again.

Re: The Football thread
The South America matches are just the first couple of games, I remember reading. It's to mark 100 years since the WC began.
