SUPER MARIO BROS. with the

-biggest opening in the history of Illumination
-biggest opening of the year
-third biggest opening of the 2020s
-third biggest Easter opening of all-time
-seventh biggest April opening of all-time

All of this in admissions of course and using just the 4 day regular weekend...

In five days the movie sold around 1,215,000 tickets (€12.3m)

Believe it or not, but judging by Thursday's sales, GOTG3 could drop just 10 % in its second weekend while SUPER MARIO could increase in its 6th weekend...

Weather was much better than forecast, delivering the worst weekend of the year... Still GOTG3 dropped just 31 %...

This week is research week (looking for old data in the archives of two major distribution companies) with lots of traveling involved...

But I did do a basic forecast, first trend is 275k - same as ALADDIN's 288k - Both opened to great weather...

Despite upcoming release schedule it should do 1.5m+ right.

SPIDEY opens almost three times better than first one, but still a lousy weekend due to nice weather (3rd weekend in a row, 4th one coming up)...

SPIDEY repeats on top - worst Top 20 of the year and no end in sight for beautiful weather...
