JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION under $375m club
Yes, I'm going there - anyone with me?

Sure I'm in. If this holds like Rise of Skywalker from TFA, this one would gross around $360m.

Re: JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION under $375m club
This weekend will be a good test to see how ridiculous inflation has gotten for movies.
Technically the last Jurassic Park would adjust to nearly $555M now. It could lose 1/3 of its audience and still beat this club.
I think OW will definitely disappoint but there really isn't much else to see in a light summer overall.
Lightyear, Blackphone, Elvis, Minions for a month in terms of wide release until Thor? It's the middle of the summer movie season and only 2 wide non-family movies for a month?
There's going to be a lot of people that will probably watch it because there really isn't much else.

Re: JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION under $375m club
This would only be an 11% drop from 2 which had bad WOM. Doesn't even seem that unlikely.

I have to admit that I'm surprised that attendance in this club is pretty high...

I'll go with $375,000,000.

Re: JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION under $375m club
The bad reviews will hurt it so I guess it could dip under $400m. Top Gun already going gangbusters and with Lightyear in its second weekend it wont be easy. It all depends on inflation and how high it opens I guess.

In. I think even under $350m might be possible.

Yes just saw that. In the 40's on RT now. It's not in a great spot when you consider it has the behemoth that is Maverick roaring through the BO and then Lightyear a week later. What may save it is a still BIG opening followed by a number of less competitive weeks before Thor opens. We'll see I guess.

Metacritic is at 38!!!! https://www.metacritic.com/movie/jurass ... ion?ref=hpDont remember any blockbuster at these levels. Even FK Metascore is 51.

Re: JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION under $375m club
The only $100M+ openers with worse reviews were Transformers 2 & 4. Pretty deserving though. I don't know if I would quite join this club as it could still open crazy-high, but I do think WOM is gonna be weak on this one, considering that the marketing pretty much completely hid the actual underwhelming main driving conflict of the movie, and that the return of the original trio just feels completely unearned. Maybe its legs won't be like, godawful, but almost certainly the worst of the franchise.

I think we will see B cinemascore. This will have worse legs than FK.

Re: JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION under $375m club
A- Cinemascore, same as Fallen Kingdom, and better than Lost World (B+) or JP3 (B-). So this club may need to count more on lower opening than legs for this.
