Re: Friday #s
Oops I didn't realize that other thread was called Bond Weekend oh well lol
Spectre's OD was $27m. If this was earlier in the year I think this would be considered pretty solid but I think expectations got a little too high this past week

Re: Friday #s
Thank goodness for the Monday holiday. I'm sure there will be some creative accounting for a 4day tally of $70,000,007 if the 3 day does slip under $60M. Also I could see Dune miss $25M tbh. I'm sure there's a fanbase out there but wouldn't be shocked if it gets out opened by Halloween.

Dune presales are strong so I don't think it's going below TSS.

Re: Friday #s
Hopefully Dune breaks out for box office's sake!
A few stats: -JB25 Friday audience skewed male (64%) -57% ticket buyers over the age of 35, including 37% over 45 years old. -2 hr 43 minute movie so fewer showtimes. Longest Bond out of the series and nearly 1 hour longer than Quantum, 17 min longer than Spectre, and 20 minutes more than Skyfall and 19 min longer than Casino Royale.
It is understandably skewing much older than Venom which had only 10% of audiences over 45.
Should have room to stabilize given how much older the audience demos are who won't rush out opening day.

Shang-Chi also had a good hold

Re: Friday #s
SC and Addams Family held well. Venom's second weekend will easily be below SC, I don't think it hits $200m with Halloween taking away some of its audience next weekend and then Dune taking away the remaining premier screens.

Re: Friday #s
NTTD could have done better even though I only predicted 63m.
Even with FG releasing to Blu-Ray this Tuesday, it will still reach a milestone not many movies can do often, stay 10 weeks in the top 10. It should still be in the top 10 next weekend.
V2 dropped harsh but it lost all of its premium screens to NTTD. It should have just enough juice to make it to $200m (it only needs 58m more from presumably a 32m 2nd weekend).

Re: Friday #s
Would have been impressive a week ago. Venom messed with our expectations by playing like a legit marvel film.

Re: Friday #s
Dune will definitely do well IMO OW. Hype is there. Tons of people I know want to see it for the marketing and the cast, who've never read the book or heard of it. HBO Max will just kill its legs.
