This miniseries from Russell T. Davies dropped in the UK this weekend and is scheduled to drop on HBO Max this winter/spring.

It's absolutely brilliant. Will without a doubt be one of the best shows of the year for me. An entertaining, charming and heartbreaking story of friendship and tolerance. I'd highly recommend it. Everyone in the younger ensemble gives a starmaking performance. They're equally supported by strong performances by vets such as Neil Patrick Harris, Stephen Fry and Keeley Hawes.

For sure! I binged all five episodes in one sitting. I really think the young cast here is going to be big. Lydia West and Callum Howells in particular are Emmy worthy, IMO.

THANK YOU! Its an early contender for the best series of 2021. The entire cast is BRILLIANT. I agree on Lydia West and Callum Howells and would love for them to grab a nomination (even if they don't win).

I would also recommend to watch this series. It has this fun kinetic energy that will grab you from the very first scene.

Loved this aswell and I'm glad you guys recommended it because I honestly think I wouldn't have even known about it otherwise. The acting across the board was pretty stellar, but the ones who stood out the most to me were Olly Alexander, Lydia West, Callum Scott Howells and Keeley Hawes who definitely deserves some kind of an award for her performance in that final episode.

I honestly loved all the stuff with Ritchie character and even made me tear up a bit at the end which I wasnt expecting at all, but it was pretty damn heartbreaking IMO.

Hoping for a mini breakout when it premieres Stateside. I loved all the characters and despite being tough subject matter it ends on a pretty life-affirming note.

Also it seems to have done very well in the UK.

This does balance out fun with serious topics very well, a sign of a truly good series that brings so much love for its characters that you just ignore all the flaws.

I am hoping it breaks out as well it should definitely do well with its target audience.

Apparently Russell T. Davies partially based it on his own experiences in UK in the '80s and the character of Jill is based on a real person. It's definitely produced and performed with a lot of love and care.

Yes its out online (all 5 episodes). I believe Dil has also caught up on it yesterday because its definitely out on demand (in some regions) and torrents. I do not have HBO Max subscription and don't plan to get it anytime, plus this won't be approved by our board (because of gay content) so I highly doubt it comes out here on TV.

I'm definitely planning to watch it. Just waiting for the HBOMax debut. I could always torrent it but would rather wait and support it on HBOMax. Give it an extra viewer. :P

I put the first episode on earlier and now I'm in full rewatch mode. The ending of episode 2 is so quietly effective.

On episode 3. I adore Colin and Jill. Easily the most likable characters. Honestly the only two I care about.

This was beautiful. I ugly cried so hard. Still trying to stop sniffling a half hour or so later.

Ritchie's mom is a monster.

This is still the best piece of content I've seen all year in film or TV. I think about it often. Really hope the Emmys don't ignore it.
