Obviously it is impossible to make a true analogy, since most non-franchise movies flop in theaters. But based on its Netflix performance compared to movies earlier in the year, I'd say Extraction equivalates to about a $30/70M performance. Spenser launched about a week before I started keeping track, so its #1 total would be closer to 10 and I think that's the bar for huge movies (let's say, $50/165M in theaters for Spenser.)

I agree an accurate analogy is impossible. But I honestly think these theatrical #s more likely:

Extraction $7/16M
Spenser $12/33M

Oh if they were actually released in theaters definitely. Star power means way more to Netflix though, thus the boost in their numbers.

Never Have I Ever is doing really well. Don't think it will hold onto #1 long though.

It will be the next show I watch after I finish Community.

I loved Episode 6 on Never Have I Ever.... been a lonely boy. Perfect episode from what I would expect from this kind of romantic comedy. Having Andy Samberg narrate it was also great.

Extraction ended up as a bomb on Netflix? shocker.

I'm still a little upset at Den of Thieves for costing Fallout the 2019 WOKJ Best Picture Award.

Dangerous Lies looks like my trashy tv movie I need for the weekend may watch it later.

Also Ozark has had an AMAZING run.

Dangerous Lies looks and sounds so generic. As expected Never have I ever didn't last long.

But it's a thriller. My kind of fun Saturday night trashy movie

Binged the shit out of this show and Devi is fucking IRRITATING. Probably the worst protagonist I've ever have to deal with. Everyone else is pretty much better than her by miles

I am waiting for Space Force.

They added bat vs Sup. On Mexican Netflix and didn't event crack the top three. It has been stuck on #4 two days now.

It's embarrasing

I guess it was meant to be like that but yeah at times her character was a bit too irritating with the cliched decisions that you can see in any romcom

Outer Banks has a good shot at #1 tomorrow, but if it gets leapfrogged by Hollywood then it’ll have to settle for an Ozark run.
