I saw that. It is one of the best shows on Netflix right now.

Poor Amazon Prime video. It’s the closest thing to Netflix in terms of competition (broad, non studio specific portfolio) yet no one talks about it.

They may catch on a little more when the LOTR series and Wheel of Time debut. They'll either feed off the GOT/fantasy starved audience or be major commercial disasters. I'm hoping both are good and do well.

Prime will never be as big as Netflix. It just better hope it doesn't get passed by Apple.

Prime Video is really just a bonus though, I don’t think anybody subscribes just for Homecoming. It’s all about paying for free shipping.

True. Sometimes there's good stuff on there. Frustrates me when I'm in the middle of a "free" season and they decide to start charging. At least it only happens with shows they don't produce.

9. Absurd Planet (series, new)
10. Cooked With Cannabis (=)

Absurd Planet looks fun.

Amazon's problem isn't the content, they have lots of shows that should be streaming goldmines in their back catalog, but I think Netflix recommendation technology or ability to create buzz on the internet is an advantage. If you put Chappelle's Show on Netflix it would break twitter - all of the Comedy Central shows on Amazon like Robot Chicken, Key & Peele, South Park (moving this year) should have been huge assets and game changers.

It might be a good thing that others aren't doing well. It'll most likely lead to better partnerships down the line.

So how long will THTH reign? It's everywhere I look at. Netflix king of trashy reality TV, who saw that coming?

Too Hot to Handle is so much fucking fun haha so happy its number one, got 3 episodes left and determined to finish it tonight. The hose Desiree is fucking HILARIOUS! The narration is so meta and tongue in cheek it adds a whole other level to the show

I forgot that there was a Wheel of Time adaptation. Wow. I'm trying to get back into it now. Currently on Book 2.

Outside of Stranger Things, The Crown and Tiger King 2, it's actually a few Prime shows I anticipate the most:

    New LOTR series
    Wheel of Time
    The Expanse
Dark Tower series (which I'm soooooo psyched for, glad that the franchise gets a second attempt)

Amazon is so large their "Netflix" is just an attempt to sell more Prime subscriptions. :D

6. Despicable Me (-1)
7. Tiger King (=)
8. #BlackAF (=)

Impressive for the Willoughbys to snag a day at #1 before Extraction debuts. Has anyone seen it?

Movies:

1. The Willoughbys

4/25/20 - Covid can be cured with an injection of Chris Hemsworth

1. Extraction (movie, new)
2. The Willoughbys (-1)
3. Outer Banks (-1)
4. Too Hot To Handle (-1)
5. Waco (-1)
6. Ozark (-1)
7. Despicable Me (-1)
8. Tiger King (-1)
9. Absurd Planet (=)
10. #BlackAF (-2)

No surprises here. Should spend at least a week on top. I also believe this is the first time the top two spots have both been held by movies.

Movies:

1. Extraction
2. The Willoughbys
3. Despicable Me
4. The Green Hornet
5. Angel Has Fallen
6. Code 8
7. Incredibles 2
8. Angry Birds 2
9. The Grinch
10. Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse

Crashing at my place baby I'm a wreck.

Spiderverse probably got a boost because the sequel got pushed.

I actually enjoyed Extraction. It was a good distraction for a Saturday afternoon with nothing else to do.

Sorry for not posting yesterday! Extraction was still #1.

4/27/20 - Extract 2: Bateman gets Buff

1. Extraction (movie, new)
2. Outer Banks (=)
3. Coronavirus Explained (series, new)
4. The Willoughbys (-1)
5. Waco (=)
6. Too Hot To Handle (-2)
7. The Last Kingdom (series, new)
8. Django Unchained (movie, new)
9. Ozark (-3
10. Tiger King (-2)

Django! Also, that covid doc might end up taking out Hemsworth early. Didn't expect that to pop up.

Movies:

1. Extraction
2. The Willoughbys
3. Django Unchained
4. Despicable Me
5. Angel Has Fallen
6. Code 8
7. Incredibles 2
8. The Green Hornet
9. The Plagues of Breslau
10. Angry Birds 2

I'll watch Extraction soon. Trying to make my way through movies that are leaving at the end of the month. Anyone wanna talk me out of Rounders or Talented Mr Ripley?
