Any country music fans?
I’ve recently come across some motivation to at least familiarize myself with country music. Other than listening to country stations and checking out the songs on the country charts, any recommendations?

I pretty much hate country music. But this song is memorable because my dad played it a lot. He was fascinated by American things such as country music and line dancing, and he followed the Washington Redskins for a while.

Not a fan but some songs I like
On the country bashing side, this video is hilarious:

Kacey Musgraves is one of my favourite country artists. She sticks much closer to traditional country musically, while at the same time going directly against the grain lyrically:
I'm also a big fan of Drake White:
I could keep going for ages if it wasn't 2 am right now and I wasn't dead tired. I think my country playlist on Spotify is around ten hours long. >.>

I definitely prefer female country singers it seems. Seem more similar to pop. Male country singers seem a lot more hardcore hick.

I'm generally the same. A lot of male country singers these days are very "Bro" country (like Luke Bryan), while others just strike me as being kinda hokey. There's a couple that veer more towards pop or other genres (like Drake White and his more blues-y sound) that I enjoy though. But from your top 50, it seems like you're more into female vocalists than male ones in general, so it makes sense if that extends to country as well.

Yeah I really like the Kacey Musgraves songs you posted. Doesn’t hurt she’s smoking.
I also started listening to the country songs on the charts right now. What Ifs I actually really liked. Every Little Thing is great as well, and not just because Carly Pierce is also hot.

Would the LeAnn Rimes song, "How Do I Live", be considered country music? If so, then I like one country song. I do like Blues, though, which can sometimes be confused with country (maybe it's a branch of it or vice-versa, no idea). But straight up country music like Dolly Parton and Kris Kristofferson, no thanks.

That's the more pop version of the song, even though LeAnn Rimes is primarily a country artist. Trisha Yearwood's version was the more country-ish version of the song.
They're not all THAT different, but then in a lot of cases I feel the line between country and other genres like rock, blues, pop and folk are EXTREMELY blurry. In a lot of cases country is just country because that's the box the artist was put in at some point (Sam Hunt comes to mind) or because they maintain some of their twang while singing even though they don't really use any country instrumentation.
I'm sure there's other country songs out there that you wouldn't hate. There's a LOT of crossover stuff by people like Shania Twain (who had a lot of success over here too, though a lot of her songs released here were pop versions instead of having country instrumentation) and other artists. Even singers like Dolly Parton had periods where they released music that country music purists wouldn't consider country at all.
