I mean it’s kinda boring but not like unwatchable. I’ll give it a few more chances.

I'm starting to wonder if amazon made black elves because they knew it would trigger a certain set of people and drown out all the legit criticisms of the show. :hahaha:

Like people were predictably upset and childish about the twerking scene on She-Hulk, but that was just a post-credits gag where the actors were being goofy. Was obviously there to appeal to the kiddies, not upset the snowflakes.

Also, I think it was a mistake to release two episodes at once. Even though I didn't really like the show, I'm still anticipating watching the new episode tonight/tomorrow. A week of speculations, maybe-it-wasnt-that-badisms and rose-tinted-goggles concerning anything related to middle-earth has gone a long way.

New episode was better, but still not great.

I really don't understand the Hobbits leaving each other behind storyline. Since when were they such assholes? Not-Gandalf also needs to chill.

Numenor was cool to see.

I feel better about the show after that episode. The storylines are becoming more clear now, even if separating them slows the pace a bit.

It’s way better than She Hulk at least.

So the captain's son is this guy?

In another version of this show he could have been the main character instead of being sailor with pregnant sister introduced in episode 3.

Loved seeing Numenor, and the casting of Elendil is great.

Great stuff again. Really love the world building. Excited to see essentially the beginning of Mordor.

Episode 4 might be my breaking point. I literally can’t pay attention it’s so uninteresting

Hey something finally happened on this show. Took over five hours and probably about 300 million dollars to get there, but better now than never.

But also, how about you check to make sure the villain didn't switch the magic weapon. Also how about you do something other than stand there looking surprised when a volcano is erupting

Haven't seen ep 6 yet, but if Halbrand is going to be revealed as Sauron after the tower is built and he tricks them into making the rings, at this pace when is that happening like season 3? I thought the Sauron thing would be an end of season 1 type move. The poor Galadbrand shippers are going to put like 4 years of real time into this only to find out they were lusting over Sauron.

They made it pretty obvious this episode. Probably end of season for reveal, end of season 2 Galadriel figures it out, end of season 3 before anyone believes her. This show is in no hurry to get anywhere. Amazon wants a return on their investment.

I really hope there is a rug pull with Halbrand. It seems just SO obvious that he's going to be Sauron. Like, since he first appeared on the show that was the feeling. Make the kid Sauron, imo. I'd be FINE with Halbrand turning out to be Sauron, but it would be kinda boring (despite his character fleshing out really well so far).

Glad the two stories finally combined, very curious how the Harfoots/the Stranger are going to connect.

I need more Dwarves. All Dwarves all the time.

Durin/Elrond are the best duo in LOTR history. Just tremendous stuff.

Really really hope we get SOMETHING more regarding the Stranger and the Harfoots. I need more meat on that storyline.

Just watched season 1 finale. Awesome episode again.

I'm going to watch Fellowship now, this ep really put me in the mood

Back to  . Why would Galadriel keep his name a secret and carry through with his plan? Her arrogance makes her difficult to like and I don't feel like she learned anything the entire season. Was almost expecting the real twist to be that Sauron replaced Galadriel. Now that would have been interesting.

I got into it a bit more at the end. The finale was pretty good between the Gandalf (/Saruman?) fight and the Galadriel stuff. That and episode 6 was the best. Bear McCreary as usual is money.

As a hardcore LOTR fan, Rings of Power totally rocked. The world-building was off the charts and the new characters were fantastic (the woke casting was a distraction for me personally but not enough to detract). The massive budget was definitely visible on screen, making it possibly the most 'cinematic experience' I've ever seen on television. Plus, the side quests and stories were awesome and I'm sure they'll all come together in the end. It's obvious the people behind the show really love and understand the Tolkien universe. I'm glad they're in charge of the creative direction and I really hope they can see it through to the end of the planned 5 seasons. Especially since Bezos spent a fortune on this thing.

News coming out only 37% of the people who started watching the series finished the season.
Its pretty much a flop, i myself found the season boring with bad acting and writing, visually it looked great but i wont be returning for season 2.
