Post Dexter is returning for 10 episodes
2021 coming soon reports. Love series outside of season six and the end of season 8. I’m down. I wonder if they’ll stick with the lumberjack setting.

That's good to hear. I always felt Dexter could have run for longer but they decided to stop making it. The series did go bad around the final season but I am excited to see what they bring back now.

Well they could bring back the sister like the father. Maybe a new version of the code. I don’t see how they would bring anyone back, inless he made it do Argentina in between. I think it could be interesting to have him as a known serial killer now and Interpol or the FBI are hunting him.

I still haven’t finish the final season. Really like 1-5 though so maybe its time to go back.

I think it will be good if they do a time jump and explore his relationship with his children while being hunted by authorities.

Season 1 A-
Season 2 A
Season 3 A
Season 4 A+
Season 5 A+
Season 6 C
Season 7 A-
Season 8 B+ (So ridiculous but I enjoyed the camp of a lot of it)
Last Episode C

I agree the Colin Hanks season is the worst, not the last one

If this is successful I think they should make a How I Met Your Mother 10 episodes to try to redeem themselves.

They can always fill in the gap years which they skipped in the final Season.

Fuck off. Season 7 rocked. And season 5 is in many ways the best of the series.

6 has a lot of good stuff in it. The main villain is just terrible and the twist is so generic you can't believe that's what they went with. In many ways it's not much worse than season 1 outside of that (But when you're use to the quality being what it was it is a jarring drop) Time to rank the major villains:

God no on How I Met Your Mother. They clearly ran out of ideas after season 7. The whole show would have been simply fine with Ted ending with Victoria, Barney with Robin, hell even Barney with Nora or Quinn and Robin with Kevin. And Segal quitting after season 8 and being rewritten into that horrible side plot of him traveling to the Wedding for half the season was godawful. That whole season was a disaster.

I know, it was so badly done and obvious that it would been shocking if he was real. How they thought the twist that every bad horror movie used for the last 15 years would be some sort of revelation to last an entire season. I get that they were going for the Dexter parallel, but Colin Hanks' character was boring as hell. I did like Mos Def though, and the initial mysteries and execution of the murders. And the High School reunion episode was probably the best Hall ever was on the show.

It was also the dawning of the internet theory age (along with Lost.) I admit I wouldn't have figured it out until like three episodes in (hmmm why do they never appear with someone else at the same time), but people on reddit had that shit locked in from the first second those two are on screen.

Man I am all for this, especially if they can fix some stuff that happened in the later seasons. Those early seasons of Dexter were fucking amazing and while I still got some enjoyment out of the later seasons it never felt the same afterwards and that final season was super disappointing. I could see them building something great with that series finale ending though, but you need good writers and a great script to make it all work.

First episode was about as good as I could have hoped for, nice character centric stuff between Dexter trying to stick to his normal life, Deb hallucinations etc., and loved the table scene when it paid off

Enjoying this a lot 7 episodes in. Once the big bad becomes clear the interaction between him and Dexter really feels like the old show, and teenage Harrison storyline is compelling considering it could have gone so bad based on some other Showtime characters like Dana from Homeland, Jack Alcott's role definitely comes off like someone you could look back on as the young version of an actor who went on to bigger things. Julia Jones should be cast in some female action roles or something after this, she is a nice mix of hot but also a badass.
