. I planned on stopping for the night after that episode but had to watch episode 8 right away.

I've watched the first 3 episodes of Season 2. It's brilliant. Though this season is starting a little rocky. Couldn't really get into the first episode of the season but it is getting better. |

Yes I think Season 2 takes its time to get going. Season 3 if i recall has a lull somewhere in the middle. But stilll worth sticking with it. |

I finished the first season of Peacock's "Queer As Folk" last night which was mostly great except for the very end. The final twist was ridiculously stupid and out of nowhere, and soured my opinion on the season as a whole. I'd still watch a season 2 if it gets renewed though since for the most part I liked the characters. |

I thought the Queer As Folk reboot was ok. Couldn't really connect to the characters. Also I agree the ending twist was dumb. Watched The Summer I Turned Pretty and enjoyed it a lot. I assume it will get renewed for another season and I very much look forward to it. |

Tried a few of the network comedies this year Ghosts - I had fun with this one through 3 episodes, the jokes are fast with the ensemble, and it doesn't hurt McIver is such a babe. I can see it getting better as well so I'll stick with it. Abbott Elementary - This was ok but The Office and Parks and Rec took until season 2 to feel like themselves, so I'll check in on it next year. |

Also, I'm halfway through the third season of "The Umbrella Academy" and while I adored the second season, this season is a slog. It's almost exclusively because of the Sparrows, who are all terrible characters and bad actors. All of their scenes make me cringe. I can't wait until they nix them from the narrative. |

See - this is an example of a show where all the pieces are seemingly there for a great show including some of the most spectacularly filmed battle scenes I've seen on TV and cool villains, however unlike a show like Foundation that I binged the rest of it immediately, I just don't have the urge to keep watching it, going back to when it first debuted and I was impressed but took 3 years before watching the rest of the season. I think the blind people stumbling around to get places may make it more slightly slower to watch, and they are also less relatable than the kids who can see. I will stick it out to season 2 for the Bautista addition. |

Binged the new Hulu show Maggie. I thought it was a very nice, pleasant watch. A breezy summer show. I'd like to see another season. |

The Bear is pretty decent but I feel like it couldn't keep up the cocaine intensity of the first episode in a struggling sandwich shop. Kind of wish they made a show about Joel McHale's Not My Temperature kitchen instead. |

Watched Defending Jacob. That was excellent. I don't know how the performances didn't get Emmy nominations. Especially Chris Evans. I watched the first two episodes of The Resort on Peacock which is pretty good. I watched most of American Horror Story: Double Feature. First story was really good. The second one with the aliens sucks. I have one episode left. I'm glad that one was only 4 episodes. I'm also keeping up with this season of American Horror Stories so far. The season premiere was just OK. I liked the second episode with Gabourey Sidibe and Max Greenfield more. I have two episodes left of The Bear: Season 1. It's alright. I love Jeremy Allen White and that's the only reason I've kept watching. I despise the character of Richie so fucking much. He's obnoxious. Drags the show down for me. |

I’m two episodes in and will make it to the Morroco episode which I’ve heard is tense as hell but Inventing Anna is a real slog. Too much of the lawyer Vivian and not nearly enough conning and there’s no need for these episodes to be over an hour long |

I've never seen Pretty Little Liars or the spin-offs but decided to give Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin a try since it's a slasher. I love it. It's addicting and a lot of fun. I've watched the first five episodes and can't wait for the next ones. I really hope this show sticks around. |

A new mini series called Marriage starring Sean Bean. It's a little rusty and awkwardly unrealistic at times, but I enjoyed observing the relationship dynamics, and Sean Bean is just great. It kind of feels like a university project where the student director's rich parents were able to afford a few famous faces. Slice-of-life dramas are kind of up my alley, particularly ones set in England. What annoyed me, though, was the intro and outro. It's like this stage direction blend of voices. "TO THE SIDE, TO THE SIDE"... it was weird. |
