I sort of agree on this but again Endgame level essentially means opening a movie above $350m OW mark for me because I do not think that movie has any other effect. Though maybe you guys are talking about a different reaction which I don't understand.

He’s comparing the Luke moment to Cap summoning Mjolnir. But it wasn’t that cool. Luke carving through the Dark Troopers is 10/10 on hype chart but Endgame was 3000/10.

I think crowd reactions for SW movies are generally better than what Endgame did because the later attracted a lot more casual audience.

Post Re: The Mandalorian
This series with two central characters is so damn GOOD. The second season ends with a huge emotional punch, starts a little slow (hey zwackerm??) is better in action and visuals but looses a lot of heart (that the first season had) but overall very satisfied with the series. LOVED the scene where Pascal had to remove his helmet in Episode 7, great expression from the actor depicting the discomfort in doing so. Baby Grogu was given the task of fun and comedy and he/it nails it.

I wasn't as impressed with Ahsoka as a Jedi even though Dawson was brilliant and I would love to see her in the spin-off series. Not really interested too much on The Book of Bobba Fett because I always felt that character works best as a supporting character. Would also like to bring the word of caution that this season Disney placed a LOT of spin-off characters just because they wanted to but script didn't demand it. While it didn't impact Mando overall, dedicating sections/episodes to these characters in such a short series does not really help your current show (and even brings it down). We never got the resolution for Bobba Fett in the end because Grogu was saved but the and Ahsoka episode was literally a filler episode other than last 5 minutes.

This show is like if every episode of GOT were Blackwater or the Watchers on the Wall. Technically brilliant, and beautiful to look at and exciting action, but lacking compelling characters and drama.

Season 2 is better though. Finishing the last episode now.

Like it’s not a bad show, and it’s ground breaking from a technical level. I just think that if it wasn’t Star Wars it would not be getting the level of acclaim it is.

Well I'm glad to hear you are atleast enjoying it somewhat zwackerm. For me personally I preferred Season 1 overall just due to the amount of focus Mando and Baby Yoda got, but this season was still pretty great. I hope Pedro gets alot more chances to shine in Season 3 though, because he deserves stronger material IMO.

I do agree that a lot of attention this gets is because of the built in fanbase but I got hooked into the show because it fits the TV format where a lot of room is given for story to evolve and the world to expand.

As for season 2 I agree it loses its heart specially because there are just way too many characters shoehorned in this season to focus on. But the story moves at a faster pace this time and there's always the urgency with the usual star wars adventure.

I feel like this storyline should have been episodes 7,8, and 9

Apparently there’s a movement to fire Gina Carson for being conservative lol. Cancel culture at its finest.

You stand with her comparing what Jewish people went through during Nazi Germany to today's political divide? Because that's what you're standing with.

I’m fine with keeping her on The Mandalorian. Just don’t put her in congress please.

Her point is that normalizing hatred of a group is what led to the Holocaust, she is saying that if things don’t turnaround, who’s to say conservatives will not be rounded up and put in camps?

It's ridiculous to fire her for that, but they were probably waiting for the opportunity

Wow that post backfired. It was clearly meant to point out a slippery slope and say that’s where we could be headed rather than saying “REPUBLICANS ARE BEING EXTERMINATED IN CAMPS!” which is how the media is spinning it.

It’s miraculous she made it this far honestly.

We need to start comparing these people to commies and their history of killing people rather than overused nazi holocaust analogies.

I wonder if they will recast or just cut the character. It’s not like the show is lacking in badass females.

Also, does Pedro Pascal being cast as Joel in The Last of Us mean that this show is going to air less frequently or are we just risking Pascal overexposure?

So now you Pubs are suddenly concerned about the children in cages?

The difference, of course, is that conservatism is an opinion. Judaism is a religion, but also a race too. Committing genocide is not the same as telling a selfish asshole that they are a selfish asshole.

And people with Nazi flags were proudly celebrating in the streets after Trump’s election while shouting “the jews will not replace us.” Trump then called them very fine people. That’s why libs call them nazis. This shit didn’t just come out of nowhere. :funny:
