I just started watching this and only found a season 4 and season 8 thread, so creating this new one here.

First I couldn't believe how Larry has like not aged in 17 years.

Only watched the pilot thus far and it's a bit experimental, but I already love it.
I've seen clips from other seasons and while it's not as developed at the start, the style is the same and it's great. I didn't exactly laugh out loud really, but I was constantly chuckling inside.

Everything that happens just feels so not on purpose and the way of Larry dealing with things is just both relatable and hilarious.

The pilot is enjoyable but feels different to the rest.

Season 1, episode 2 is great, so this is pretty much the format it keeps and rightly so. The episode starts with Larry wearing pants that bulge up at the crotch area, so it could look like a boner. So relatable :funny: And the way the whole story flows, it's just an up and about Larry throughout his day, but so much stuff is happening. Be at an argument with his wife or a stranger he meets on the street. Also agent jeff and him feed really well of each other. I've known about it since it's creation and know from clips it's funny, but really it's comedy gold.

Comedy gold indeed. So happy that you're loving it. And you're right, it is so relatable which makes it great.

I'm almost through season 7. It's just great stuff, really. Very easy to watch, and the format is great. Those little music interludes really take it to another level though. They fit the show so well and give it the perfect personality.

Yeah, I've been watching a few more episodes since last week, watching about one every two days I guess, halfway through the first season now.
Mainly, not much new to add.
Love the show, it's classic, constantly hilarious because of the recognizable situations Larry finds himself in.
Basking in joy really that I'm only in season 1 now and there's still so much good stuff to come.
Only it becomes a little bit predictable that once Larry finds himself in one predicament and he then find himself a way out of it, it comes back to bite him back in the ass each time. Even so, I'm never able to contain my laughter each time.

One of my favourites of season one is the idea of the "stop and chat". Later on you'll see more Larryisms ... "chat and cut", "sorry window" etc. All priceless.

Just finished the first season and it's downright great. The last episode has another classic moment where Larry ends up at an incest support group. The way Larry deals with things and the predicaments he gets in, it's both so relatable and so hilarious. It's without a doubt one of the best shows I ever watched, looking forward to starting season 2.

Just watched episode 3, season 2 and I think this is one of the few I watched once before, a long time ago. Feel it's one of the BEST episodes so far. Got everything, misunderstandings (unintentional flirting), assumptions (wearing golf clothes, but not playing golf), pretending out of courtesy (not disclosing activity to a handicapped person), jewish-isms (can't love german music) and annoyance of conventional thinking (you have to give a treat at trick or treat no matter what AND you can't do anything else on your wife's birthday). Great stuff.

Keep your thoughts coming. I enjoy reading them (ABOUT THIS ... not about The Mummy).

Just finished season 2. Great, of course. Love watching the show and don't have much new to add. The episodes just follow Larry around in his life and there's no stopping the humor. Every situation lends itself to a either a greatly funny moment in itself or as set-up for a larger one.

I only made the connection a few days ago, but Larry's porno friend, Gil, is played by Saul from Breaking Bad.

haha yes, I could have perhaps mentioned that...I see several small parts played by actors I recognized from other things. Also love Paul Reiser in this, actually I love Paul Reiser in everything, he had a small role in War on Everyone as well.

Not a fan of Reiser.

Just finished season 3. Superb. Really enjoyed there to be a main thread, opening the restaurant, throughout. Sublime ending to the season with the curse fest too :D

It's such a rare show where I love each season more than the next. I think you are in for a treat now. Curb just continued to evolve.

Is Season 4 the Producers season? It's so hard to remember the first couple now. They all just interlap to me.

Yeah, that's how I'm feeling at this point too. Season 3 tried a bit harder I felt, but it works, and the main storylines it adopts since this one give it more cachet too.

Almost finished the 4th season, how could I not love it, the stuff with Ben Stiller is great and then David Schwimmer is just as good in a supporting role. And just finished episode 9, of which I knew the survivor dinner table scene before and I thought it was brilliant before and it works so well within the episode too. One of the best scenes ever for sure, and the whole episode is good, the sponge, Larry edging closer to his one-time allowed adultery moment. Then the, I don't want to love you after I die vows, the stepping on the guy's hand and the final line again "we survived". :funny: :funny:

The final episode is an hour-long. Just FYI. Don't start it unless you can finish it. ;)

That was definitely an very pleasant hour-long episode and closure of the season. Started up S5 too, and was though the sandwich episode was not that great, but still with good moments like Larry thinking he heard that he was adopted. Episode 2 felt like it came back to it's usual strengths again, Larry's fascination with the bow tie, his "racist" dog, the thing with the lesbians, all great. And still Larry is trying to find out whether someone is always being truthful to him or not, love those bits.

Just watched Lewis' Kidney and that was great. Everything, love it. I experienced the drive-thru can only accept cars myself recently on a trip to the States (hungry and nothing else open), great bit. And so was everything about Lewis needing a kidney and Larry and Jeff's bantering about it. The hospital scene: Goodnight Nurse, Good night, no it's just a saying, etc. hahaha.
