First of all, Will & Grace deserved absolutely zero of those noms.
Why can't the award shows just let it go already?
There are other, more deserving people (like instead of Sean Hayes any of the supporting guys from Arrested Development)
Also, Lost gets a Best Drama nom but nothing else. A number of the actors deserved something.
I will not be watching these, as i have boycotted the Golden Globes (and the Oscars...and the Emmys) for the past couple years.
The main reason behind my boycotts in the beginning was the snubbing of BtVS year after year. You can say what you want, but it earned something and i am glad that many off-broadway type award shows recognized it time and again.
I am SOOO glad that this is the last time that Sex and the City will be nom, because i started hating that show and those actresses.

Thank you so much for these! I just copied them out on the printer, so me and my sister can cast our votes, and see who does better on predicting the winners. :)

I'm really glad Marcia Cross was nominated for Desperate Housewives, but they choose to nominate every single main actress except for the terrific Eva Longoria. Blah.

Instead of the tragically depressing Will and Grace still being recognized YEARS after it was an even passable sitcom, why not let Eva Longoria complete the Housewives nominees and get nominated too? All four deserve nominations. Not just three. And Lost getting no acting awards? Disgraceful. And, I just noticed NO nomination for Kiefer Sutherland? Downright terrible. Denis Leary and Julian McMahon deserve nods at least. When, oh when, will there be a perfect list of nominations? At least Jennifer Garner wasn't snubbed.

I'm glad Eva wasn't nominated. She is my least favorite character, and I could see why she was neglected.

It's ridiculous that some of the cast of Lost wasn't nominated, they are better than most of the other Actor/Actress nominees.

I agree about the oversight of Eva Longoria, she's one of the better actresses on the show, t better than Felicity Huffman to name one.

With 3 CSIs and 3 Law and Orders, they all get mixed in with each other and hard to tell them apart, that must play a part in those shows not getting many nominations.

Personally I think cable shows like The Shield and Sopranos are overrated, just because they can have more gore or swear words doesn't make them better.

Very true, Arch. I like Shield and Sopranos, but they're tragically overrated. I think the biggest factor in their popularity is the word "gritty". Whenever a cable drama is described, it's usually a gritty series. So what?

Silly Globe voters and their need to be flashy.

Nicollette Sheridan? COME. ON. Over Arrested Development's Jessica Walter? Over the supporting cast of Scrubs?

:swear: THAT'S what I think of that.

*Ahem*

Nice to see some recognition for James Spader, Lost, and Huff, though.

I thought the same thing when i saw that Lost was nominated for Best Drama but nothing else. How does that work?
Terry O'Quinn is fantastic as Locke!!
They should really just let Will & Grace die already. I never found it that great, and even people who once loved the show agree that it is no longer that good.
Regarding the 3 DH actresses nom in one category, that can't be good for any of their chances of winning. I would rather one of them win then sarah jessica parker or debra messing, as both of these women don't need any more awards for overrated shows.

I am so glad that others agree with me about the HBO/cable "gritty" factor. Just because a show is "gritty", has gore-galore, and has tons of nudity does not mean that it is a great show.

I really hope that Arrested Development wins Best Comedy. I am not going to be watching and i won't really care that much about the winners, but i want AD to win so that it would be that much harder for Fox to cancel it. Its ratings are still not all that great (because people are amazingly idiotic) but if it keeps winning all these awards (Emmys, GGs, etc) then Fox would have more backlash if they were to cancel it.

Yup it would of been nice to see Terry O'quinn get a supporting actor nomination. What is also up with the nominations for Boston Legal? The show was just bad and the characters are arrogant and uninteresting. James Spader is a great actor but the characters in the show dont deserve any nomination. William Shatner's nomination is mind boggling

Yeah really. The Alan Shore character was interesting last fall on the last season of the Practice but on Boston Legal he and the rest of the cast have lost all charm, the show's a stinker.

I would have agreed with you about a month ago (as I said I did at the time), but Boston Legal has actually improved considerably as of recently. More drama, less spunky Danny Crane, more David E. Kelly not doing his whole 'my plotlines are quirky!' thing.

James Spader is still fantastic, and I'd still give him the win.

Heres my problem with the show, there seems to be too much camera staring after they make some snide remark. Danny Crane repeating his predictable catch phrase every 5 mins. The problem is that David E Kelly thinks hes trying to shock his audience by making his characters say something outlandeous or sexual. The Practice was great because it didnt depend on comedy and had more underdog issues. The lawyers right here are just unethical to treat their own agenda
