It was an okay special, most of the interviews were really more of the same. I don't think the order matters except for number 1 spot. On the list were:

Mel Gibson
The Google Guys
Paris Hilton
Ken Jennings
Michael Moore
Curt Schilling
Donald Trump
Usher
Oprah Winfrey

Most fascinating: Karl Rove

I know Mel was born in NY but was raised in Australia?

I wonder which one he fancies more.

Whichever has the lower tax rate I'm sure. I think of Mel as American these days, he's worked here for 25 years and was born here.

It was a mediocre special in that the interviews weren't that deep and were quite short (of course if u wanna cram 10 into 1 hour)!!

the most fascinating person of 2004 was Karl Rove.... who is he?

He is Bush's brain basically. Friends growing up, Rove was actually sort of like a mad scientist for politics.... he basically runs Bush's campaign and is the mastermind behind every public move of the President.
Some call him the second most powerful person in the country. funny, I wouldn't know who's the first!

I don't think Usher belonged on that list at all. What's so special about that arrogant punk anyway? I think he is so overrated, and of course people eat him up.

I think he did deserve to be on the list, judging from other choices they made.
He is the biggest selling artist of the year!
I always thought Usher was more of the humble artists, but I think some of the success has gone a bit to his head. I wouldn't call him arrogant though!

I could care less about his music but he isnt arrogant at all, he's actually a very good person. I know he went to see a Jay-Z/R.kelly concert, when K.Kelly walked out usher wanted to help out Jay-Z by getting on stage and singing a couple songs, now thats fucking cool of him.

well does 4 #1 songs in one year make him special? Does having the first million album sales in one week in the mellunium make him special? Does pairing with the most popular artists around today such as Lil Jon, Ludacris, Alicia Keys, and the Ying Yang Twins make him special? I would say Yes to all of them.

Well that's because you like him. I don't like him. I think he sucks, and I just don't find anything special about him.

It's all an opinion and ratings matter now-a-days so obviously he was on it. Just be a little more lax on things in the future okay.

I apauld the inclusion of:
The Google Guys

I was happy to see the inclusion of:
Curt Schilling

but the whole red sox team would have been better, or the coach!

I understand the inclusion of:
Mel Gibson
Ken Jennings
Michael Moore
Karl Rove

These two seem standard choices:
Oprah Winfrey
Donald Trump

The donald would have made more sense last year, and Oprah is always a safe choice.

These two, wtf?
Paris Hilton
Usher

Sex sells. Karl Rove and Ken Jennings are only sex symbols in the nerd population.
