'dr. vegas' predictably becomes season's latest casualty
From MediaWeek:
-So Long, dr. vegas:
CBS has pulled the plug on low-rated Friday drama dr. vegas after just five telecasts just in time for the November sweeps, which begins tomorrow. The network will air drama repeats in the 10 p.m. hour until further notice. Considering dr. vegas star Joe Pantoliano also flopped on CBS in this hour with drama The Handler last season, he may want to try another evening.

Tough luck for Rob Lowe.
Here's some advice for such people in his position: when you're on a top-rated, Emmy whore of a show, how about you don't leave...

Considering how bad The West Wing has gotten since Season 4 I can't blame him for leaving, but I can blame him for getting involved in Dr. Vegas, that was one bad show.
