Apple TV+ (The Morning Show Sept 13, For All Mankind Nov 10)
I actually subscribed. So far I like See the most. They did a good job with world building and pushing the blind thing to at least "acceptable suspension of disbelief" levels of ok, and it was just a very epic action packed first episode. Apple is very cinematic so far it seems so that suits its style well.
Morning Show was solid. I loved Aniston's performance. Reese had some over the top moments. It seems like it could get better. I liked the production value and cinematography of it as well.
Dickinson I only made it through half an episode. It seemed a bit stuck between drama and being a comedy without jokes, and Jane Krakowski as Emily Dickinson's mom took me out of it.
I have not watched For All Mankind

I adored both "The Morning Show" and "Dickinson." Binged the latter and watched the first three episodes of the former.

 Re: Apple TV+
I'm really enjoying See so far and I do plan on starting The Morning Show sometime. The brutality and goriness of the violence along with the solid world building has me hooked on it, and makes me wish all the episodes were dropped at once like what Netflix would do with their shows.

 Re: Apple TV+
The Morning Show started a little hammy but really picked up. The 8th episode with the flashback to before the scandal to when Mitch was in his creep prime was amazing, and the episode after was really good too.
Truth Be Told is lower quality than the Morning Show but is also entertaining in its own way
I’m going to check out For All Mankind and catch up on See after the current ones wrap up, since it doesn’t look like Apple has a ton of new stuff coming out the next few months

"The Morning Show" is one of the year's best shows in my opinion. Rare appointment viewing television, and the finale was incredible.

 Re: Apple TV+
Just finished The Morning Show and yeah I really loved it. That finale was especially great and quite emotional which I wasn't expecting, but man it definitely got me. Fantastic performances all around from Anniston, Witherspoon and Carell in this and I also loved the supporting performances from Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.

I liked it from the start, but can't believe how good the Morning Show got by the last 3 episodes. The finale was off the charts

 Re: Apple TV+
To me Apple TV+ is better pound for pound than all other streaming platforms. Netflix may have more good/great shows but they also have a lot more content. The quality % is high for Apple (Morning Show, See, Servant, etc).

I’m enjoying For All Mankind. It’s not 100% perfect, but its best moments (eg. the alt Apollo 11 mission) are really strong and I like how characters float to and from the foreground.

Shack you are Apple TV’s biggest fan on the entire internet.
I’m still waiting for them to give it to me for free for actually owning an Apple TV 4K.

 Re: Apple TV+
After the slow start, For All Mankind ended up an outstanding binge watch. Many likeable and human characters, and when done right something going wrong and Houston having to direct them how to solve it is an awesome trope. Ronald D. Moore strikes again for space shows. I might have to try watching fucking Outlander.

 Re: Apple TV+
Amazing Stories ep. 3 has a nice final Robert Forster performance. The show is a little hit and miss overall. I didn’t like the black episodes as much.

I’m gonna get this for a month for Greyhound. Will definitely watch Mythic Quest too. Not that interested in anything else but will browse around.

 Re: Apple TV+
I’ve got Apple TV in my phone for free for another 6 months but haven’t watched much other than Servant (which I liked). There are a few shows And films that look intriguing.

I got a month of this to watch CODA and Macbeth. Last year I got a trial and watched Wolfwalkers and On the Rocks. Tried Ted Lasso but couldn't get into it.
Any other suggestions? I have it for a whole month.

Re: Apple TV+ (The Morning Show Sept 13, For All Mankind Nov
I guess I’ll try having an official AppleTV thread where I mostly just talk to myself.
I always look forward to The Morning Show somehow despite it having dumb stuff like Aniston’s character backing out of going to space at the last minute to cover an abortion story, so we’ll just send Witherspoon instead with her finding out the morning of the launch and having 0 training. It’s a good show... but only by a little bit.

This is far and away the best streaming service out there right now when it comes to originals.

Re: Apple TV+ (The Morning Show Sept 13, For All Mankind Nov
I think if I made a top 50 shows list I’d have no Apple ones in the top 25 but like 10 in the 26-50. There is no shame in that, those are still good shows, in the range of your Dexters, True Bloods, Westworld if you pretend it ends after two seasons, etc.
