Legion (FX)
This Marvel-derived drama-mystery series, created by Noah Hawley (Fargo) and based on the X-Men character, premieres on FX on the 8th of February. It stars Dan Stevens, Aubrey Plaza, Jean Smart, and Jemaine Clement.
I am excited for this. Hawley has obviously done an amazing, amazing job with Fargo. Stevens is a very charismatic actor. And I have an eternal soft spot for the X-Men franchise. I will definitely tune in.

With the exception of some shitty CGI towards the end I really enjoyed that pilot episode. Dan Stevens is great in this so far and I love the way it's shot. The music is really good too, but what's most refreshing is the fact that it doesn't feel like a superhero show at all. I'm actually curious to see just how many casual viewers stay with it knowing it's not your typical X-Men stuff. Either way I'm glad it's only eight episodes since I will definitely keep watching.

That was a very good episode and probably the most enjoyable comic book tv series so far

Judged by one single episode?

I liked it. Very weird. Kind of like a combo between Westworld and Mr Robot. Hopefully the former proves to be a bigger influence and it doesn't become pompous and preachy.

I said comic book tv series since that field is generally weak. Its more layered and complex than the CW and Netflix comic book shows. Its at times a mind fuck like Mr Robot

"Jessica Jones" is quite complex and layered.

It was when it first came out. Now that Jessica is popular, its just more Marvel trash.

This series is a treat. Incredibly beautiful visuals. A twisty and involving plot. A superbly anxious, tortured lead performance by Dan Stevens. Love it.

Re: Legion (FX)
This series is absolutely beautiful and fascinating and constantly involving and surprising and twisted. It is the best "superhero" television series on now, without a doubt. I respect, say, Netflix's Daredevil, but there are single minutes of Legion with more depth and style and verve than entire swaths of its ninja subplots or Karen Page, Aspiring Journalist interludes.

I'm snowed in today so I think I'll finally start this. Was holding out until I had a few episodes to binge.

This show is insane in the best possible way. I have no idea what's going on a good portion of the time but it's gorgeous and thrilling and actually quite terrifying at certain points. I am about to start episode 5.

THIS SHOW IS AMAZING. Like, best on TV amazing. Holy fuck. I'm all caught up now and the "Bolero" silent-movie scene in the last episode has me losing my mind with how well-done and terrifying it was.

I really enjoyed this show. I know sometime down the road I'll have to re-watch it, because there were definitely things that I missed, but I am so down for a second season.
Aubrey Plaza easily stole the show in the second half, but Dan Stevens is still the MVP.

The finale was crazy. Bowing down to this show. Dan Stevens and Aubrey Plaza and Rachel Keller were all out of this world.

I still think the silent movie scene in this series is going to be tough to beat for the coolest television moment of the year.
Definitely rewatching this show this summer.

Can't stop watching this show. I just finished Episode 5 and its brilliant. I really don't know how they will wrap the season in just 3 more episodes. Thus far Stevens performance is just out-of-the-world and Plaza in a short role thus far has impressed immensely, the ending of Episode 5 tells me she will have a much bigger role going forward.

I can't put my finger on it, but something about this season felt really off to me. Maybe I need to watch some episodes again, but I thought the first season was a lot better.
