If a replacement draft would fix all the years replacements in one go, maybe it's an idea....but there's films leaving the schedule the whole year. So if we did something like that in say, June, then by October there will have some films moved again.

Im not sure this is good, but to avoid a last round film moving and having a moana2 fall in someones lap, a cap on the replacement.
Like 100mil? Most replacements will never make that, and if someone has their first round pick move, and they manage to get a biggish film in return, well 100m isn't too bad of a gross then (afterall it's still higher concensus than first round pick Joker 2 in last year's).

This is not a bad idea. A cap makes sense in two ways. It gives people help when the unexpected happens but limits them because they should have just chosen better in the first place. But generally I am not a fan of caps.

I also have an idea. Each player has two $50m placeholders. The placeholders are just monetary amounts with no film name attached. These are to be used when a film is removed from the schedule. So let's say Joker 2 gets removed, you announce you want to use one of your placeholders so at least you get something instead of $0. So it helps but not too much. And you only get two. So if you have picked badly you are also penalised for that. Because the way I see it picking three films that get removed isn't just bad luck, it's bad picking.

When we going to start drafting for 2025??

Yeah, I could see that work too, where if a pick moves out, in the worst case you still get $50m for it in place. And while that would be a consolation for the earlier rounds, if a last rounds film moves out $50m would probably be a prize.
But anyway, all things considered, if having one or more films move out, to max. get $100m gross in return for the replacement(s) feels reasonable. On the one hand it's too bad if an early pick moves out, but it might not kill the game for you completely if you picked well otherwise. And on the other hand if you get a number gross in return for a late pick moving out, it's most likely not going to swing the game that much either.
However, I prefer the capped replacement idea, just because it's more fun to have films fill the game and there's a bit of added game-play to picking the best replacement too.
