I'm not saying Trump is completely coherent in his speeches, but you can't call Biden eloquent and with it

Get out of the anti-Biden bubble and view it objectively.

Biden will 100% surpass expectations of an objective viewer who thinks they're about to see an Alzheimer's patient. Trump will 100% flop expectations of an objective viewer who thinks they are about to see a half serious candidate for President. Trump is FAR more loony than Biden right now, which is really saying something.

Trump in a 1 on 1 debate vs. Nikki Haley, DeSantis, Christie, or even Vivek would get utterly destroyed.

I never said Trump was a coherent person, just that Biden isn’t either.

Biden has always had speech issues. He specifically has a speech impediment. It’s a wonder in this day and age he was elected president when charisma matters more to voters than proposed policies or experience.

Biden doesn’t feel like the same person as 08-16 to me, part of it is the age but I also think the Democrats rhetoric is so influenced by activists that it always seems like they’re saying platitudes and trying to emotionally manipulate you into voting for them, hence also why Harris seemed more normal during her primary and then at some point became a comedy character. Trump also seems slower than when you see the 2015 clips but is still Trump obviously.

Biden won because Trump is the most unpopular candidate ever and 'Sleepy competence' was exactly what people wanted after Trump's endless "cocaine-energy chaos".

Biden comes off a early 2000s Clint Eastwood, it is a vibe that works for him and is a picture perfect foil everything wrong with Donald Trump in the eyes of mainstream Dems and suburban women.

He did a pretty good job keeping young far leftists on his side for 3 years but they may be too pro Palestine for him.

None of this changes that suburban swing state women will give Biden a 2nd term before they ever give Trump a 2nd term.

The pro-Palestinian part of the left is where I probably disagree with the Left the most. Place truly is a nest for terrorists who actively are cheering on genocide. Like does genocide not matter to the Left so long as a minority is the one committing the genocide

I just feel like all this is going to do is create more terrorists who hate Israel whether they're named Hamas or not.

Of course it will. Biden has been pretty direct about calling for ceasefire and aide for the last 2 weeks for this reason.

Biden would score tons of points if he just openly said "don't make the same mistakes we made 20 years ago in post 9/11 fight"

enormously clear after these past 20 months is many struggle to grasp the full complexity of foreign policy and how difficult it is. Supporting our allies in Europe and Asia is the best thing USA can with Russian and Chinese current disagreements.

I guess it might be different for those who didn't live through 9/11. I assume the majority of us watched the towers fall on live tv while in school which makes us sympathize with Israel more than otherwise.

More like let's stop acting like we are in 1st grade. We are capable of differentiating people from their government and vice versa.

I think everyone sympathizes with the Israeli people, especially those directly affected by the Hamas attack. They are taking issue with the Israeli governments response.

Just as everyone takes issue with the Hamas attack but also sympathizes with the Palestinians who had nothing to do with it.

Not sure who told DeSantis it was a good idea to debate Newsom but he was a big loser last night. Openly debating a non contender was an interesting choice, and then DeSantis looked borderline manic in comparison to Newsom. Newsom sadly has a lot of baggage from the condition of California, but the contrast in personality style was not flattering to DeSantis at all. Ron always looks miserable to be there.

Watching it and DeSantis, awkward body language aside is crushing the empty shell Newsom, pretty easy to argue against California since it seems like all their numbers are worse.

Newsoms closing statement was empty platitude worthy of Kamala Harris lol.

Strictly point for win, DeSantis wins round 1 talking about economic differences, mostly because Newsom did a terrible job giving context to California which is its own huge country in that regards. Newsom won round 2 on social issues, his 2 stakes about Ron saying he is "pro freedom unless it for doctors, teachers, etc" strong along with everything on abortion. Newsom easily wins the "vibe" contest by a mile and seemed to get along better with Hannity than Ron did.

Newsom needs to clean up his California defense and he wool debate DeSantis easily in a general election. Nobody will want on their TV all the time.

Both states have serious problems but why is it so hard for Newsom to note that incomes are much higher in California any time someone points out the cost of gas? "If you're making $50k in Florida you're making $70k in California" shouldn't be so hard to say. Newsom failed to mention Florida's insurance mess too. On the covid deaths piece, Newsom should have pointed out that Florida stopped reporting deaths well before others. :funny:

Newsom biggest issue is his raspy voice, he sounds even older than Biden. Ron's manic, sneaky style largely covered this uo though.

Right now, Haley is by far the strongest anti Trump candidate. She would have decisively beaten Newsom, I would bet.

Biden’s main problem is coming from lack of enthusiasm from the left who wants a woke warrior to be their nominee and has a hard time voting for anyone who doesn’t pay constant lip service to culture wars and denounce any one who doesn’t fit in their worldview

Biden directly said he is only running because Trump is running. So if Trump really cared about America, he'd back out and let us choose from two new candidates. Right?

The debates still perplex me as Trump is so far ahead. Unless there is something brewing behind the scenes that we are not privy to.

I think its secretly just a performance for Trump himself so that he will make one of them his Veep. Except we all the know the veep is going to DTJR, so these debates might be the most pointless thing in election season history.
