I assume that post is satire.

They counted the mail in ballots first which is why the Republicans will catch up a bit. I expect yes will be 40-45% by the end of the count.

Newsom won this one legitimately though it's possible not as much as the final result.

Evidence that it was legit? Reading that DEM turnout was much stronger than numbers are suggesting.

Here is my capture of the moment Newsom hit 66.6% right before 1am EST, 10pm PST, when half the country tuned out and the primetime shows ended on the West Coast. After he slowly slipped to 66.6%, a perfectly normal number (nothing to see here, right?), at this very convenient time, he's lost almost 3% overnight and is under 64% now.

This big decline in a short amount of time has put the Democrats just below their 2:1 voter registration advantage in California over the Republicans, so seems to me (and others who payed attention while votes came in overnight) the Reps have done a lot of fudging here so they can spin this win for Newsom into their advantage.

The main Republican candidate said the only way that he would lose is if the Democrats cheated. Should be proof enough right? Those who stormed the capitol and killed people sure didn’t need anymore evidence than that.

Also reading this little power grab stunt cost over $300M in taxpayer money?? What a mess from the supposedly fiscally responsible party.

Of course I'm trolling.

That said, not everyone would see it as tolling/satire. If I were to post what I did above to social media, chances are good that my mostly left-leaning followers/friends would, best case, just find it funny and like it. Worst case, a few would latch onto it as "proof" and share it among their own followers and begin talking/reporting it as evidence of some shady business or even fraud and could snowball from there. I wouldn't be surprised if I dug around and actually found something pretty similar right now.

You can take just about anything and weaponize it these days due to how much said nonsense has become normalized over the past ~5 years.

The Recall was a joke and an embarrassment to the GOP, there was a lot of resentment maybe last year, but now there is a lot of frustration with people who are unvaccinated. So with Elders being the leading GOP opponent, no one wanted to risk him being put in charge. This is actually a bad sign for DeSantis and will hurt those wanted a red wave in 2022, although the GOP is setup to get the House unless you have the biggest upset in modern political history.

I don't understand why there is supoosed "outrage" at unvaccinated people. If you are vaccinated, you are protected from COVID very well. Why do you need to mandate others get it around you?

Trump described it well that the Democrats are vicious and have bad policies but stick together more. People like Biden and Kamala campaigned for Newsom while I don't think many of the GOP establishment really went to bat for Elder or even defended him against racist attacks like the LA Times calling him the black face of white supremacy or gorilla mask woman throwing an egg at him. The story about General Milley came out and while it may be subject to 48 hour rule basically none of the GOP other than Rand said anything except Rubio. While people are claiming MAGA friendly candidates like Elder are too polarizing, the GOP establishment will be DOA with Trump voters going forward due to how obvious it is they don't support them.

The MAGA crowd will continue to alienate independent voters. The GOP needs to grow beyond the populist movement, but at the same time they are very dependent on it as well.

Hopefully non trivial % of MAGA voters either die of old age or COVID. This stupidity has to end. Everyone seems obsessed to out do trump.

This recall effort is a net positive for the GOP, do California voters prefer to live in a dystopian socialist hellscape? yes, but Newsom is truly one of the worst governors in the US and seeing people actually stand up against him rather than cower in fear like the establishment wants will make some level of difference on the West Coast

Can't wait for the latest Swollen Balls news alert on Tucker Carlson tonight. Better be the first segment. Hopefully he's live from Trinidad.

No one cares that Trump Jr. was second in a recent 2024 GOP Presidential Primary Poll, closing to within 3 points of DeSantis.

She already dropped a new song sampling Super Bass.

This story is both hilarious and truly ridiculous. WHY is this making headlines and being ran by reputable news sources? Health Ministries having to make a video statement denying the claim and debunking long-debunked myths is pretty...nuts. (I'll leave now.)

I assume it's possible Nicki's friend didn't report this or something got lost in the tracking

My take from this, though unconfirmed of course and non-factual (just like Nicki's debunked claim she shared from her cousin's friend), and assuming a friend of a cousin of Nicki's told her this, is that...

The dude cheated on his fiancée with someone before the wedding, contracted an STD that caused his swollen balls. And when questioned about them by his fiancée, blamed the vaccine. Then, when the fiancée discovered the truth, easy to do when the lie has no factual backing, called off the wedding with the lying cheater.

Plenty of these sorts of stories every day, but now they're making headline news on Fox News most watched program. Next week, Nicki, her cousin's friend and his former fiancée will be invited onto a special edition of Tucker Carlson to find out who the other man/woman was only to find out the friend was sleeping with Nicki all along! And now the fiancée is still a fiancée, only now getting married to the cousin! Bordering on Jerry Springer material now.

Biden squanders a deal with Paris over nuclear subs with Australia. Much like the withdraw from Afghanistan, it was the long term go option, but it is the subtle details and execution that he slipped on. Make me realize once again how great Obama actually was and how these things we took for granted during his tenure. Unfortunately for him Big Right-Wing Medía was very effective in playing to the common man’s inability to see the forest through the trees.

Meanwhile, Trump supporters and unfortunately too many Republican voters are so desperate to avoid the obvious, that Trump is an unhinged mental case, that a story about a top general having to calm down a potentially catastrophic situation with China is spun as partisan treason. Every time Occam’s razor comes into play, this large group of people prove to be made of steel: cold, dull, rusting steel.

It's crazy how many things are happening at once. It used to just be blamed on Trump being crazy. There would be times when the only things people would be arguing about for a few weeks is the border due to the images of the 8,000+ people under a bridge in Texas, but there's Nicki Minaj/swollen balls gate, General Milley, Biden's civilian strike, John Durham indicts Sus man, submarine deal, FDA disapproves boosters, and that's not including stuff like the Texas abortion law, Biden's mandates and infrastructure bills, plus the Arizona audit might actually get released next week after a Winds of Winter like pace.

Arizona audit found that Biden won by even more than previously anticipated. More tax payer money well spent by the Republicans. :grrr: :grrr:

Though I guess they did successfully decrease half of America’s faith in election credibility, paving the way for them to try this again next time they lose. We all know they won’t face any consequences from their voting base.
