Obama was endorsed by the Culinary Workers Union today in Nevada.

Romney might be shorter on funds than I thought, because he just canceled ad buys in Florida or SC (can't remember which one). Romney, McCain, and Huckabee are polling neck and neck in Michigan. This is not good news for Romney since he is a native son and has a solid organization in the state and Huckabee is just starting his organization. Michigan might be do or die for Romney. Well according to MSNBC.

If Romney gets fatally wounded then McCain might be able to stop Hucakbee, because the anti-Huckabee voters won't be split between him and Romney. I find this race very interesting, because so many candidates are choosing certain states to make their statements: McCain in NH, Thompson in SC, and Giuliani in Florida.

Huckabee will win SC.

Obama should remain ahead in Nevada. He secured the endorsements of both the Culinary Workers Union and the SEIU Nevada chapter. That's over 100,000 members and retirees in a state where about that many people vote. Of course, most union members will not be voting either, but the heft still remains.

Michael Bloomberg's third-party consideration is getting more transparent by the day. He may well run if Obama fails to clinch the Democratic nomination -- mark my words. His advantage over other independent candidates in history is that... he has unlimited money, for all practical intents.

Now I want Hillary to win Nevada just to avoid the media saying to stick a fork in her, she's done.

I wouldn't want them to say it if it weren't true (we've had enough of the media memes about Obama AND Clinton), but it wouldn't hurt my feelings if it were true.

i've been trying to figure out who bloomberg would hurt the most and I really cant tell. I think it'll hurt democrats more but I could be wrong.

I think it depends on the candidate. Bloomberg would take just about all the Independents, so whichever candidate appeals most to the base wins.

Giuliani, definitely. What better candidate to impale a good mayor of New York than a better mayor of New York?
McCain as well, possibly. He depends on a sizable independent vote. Obama is actually safer than those two if he wins the nomination, because Democrats have a major structural advantage in this election cycle, e.g. voter registrations. He'll get most Hillary supporters' votes in the general election, as those tend to be the most ardent Democrats.

Bloomberg is not running. He is just feeding his ego. There is no support for him like there was for Perot. If he is running he is seriously wasting some good money, because if he spent $150m to run in NYC, then he will blow through $500m easy. I doubt he will get much support. Who wants to vote for someone nobody knows. Perot was well-known. He was a wacko, but well-liked and people drafted him.

A better use for money than Larry Ellison ever found, for sure.
