Democrats have mainly been coasting on the abortion and “Republicans are a threat to democracy” lines the last few years. Other than LGBt issues, which has been mostly off the table since they codified gay marriage into law, the rest of their policies are not that popular.

I would disagree as the Republican Party is pretending to be for these populist economic policies as well. They just word it without any actual policy behind it.
At the end of the day Republicans are mostly popular for their tax policies

I kind of think Biden is holding out hope Harris polls collapse and they ask him to be nominee again

There is no signs they will. It is going to be a 50/50 race.

Stop. The guy deserved to be retired on a beach back in 2017, only arrogant Hillary's campaign decided to largely ignore the midwest and of course Comey was gonna Comey. People like Trump was this conquering king, guy barely won due to low motivated dems

I don’t believe student loan forgiveness is popular outside those who have student debt. People don’t really associate roaring economy with the Democrats even if they should. The party in power doesn’t seem to affect the amount of spending, just shifts where it goes. And no the majority of Americans aren’t motivated by racists in policing. The only one there you mention that’s really popular is weed legalization but that’s a very tertiary and unimportant issue.

Re: 2024 election - It's Joever, Biden Steps Down
It's such an uphill battle. Harris is not just a woman but one of foreign descent. These are two things that Americans can't really abide by (unless you're liberal, which such a lot of the country isn't). Hillary couldn't win with just ONE of these against her. You don't even have to be pro-Trump. Harris will get such a grilling for that combo alone that the other team will get automative votes.
I hope this isn't the case but I don't see anything other than a second Trump presidency.

The Harris groundswell is not organic (as of yet), it hasn't been enough time for that, it's journos trying to hype her up to help the side they want to win.

Re: 2024 election - It's Joever, Biden Steps Down
It appears the Harris team is going after the Gen Z and Millennials which is a winning strategy as they outnumber the older generations. But I know a lot of Gen Zers who were too young to really understand Trump and think they are voting for prices during the Trump years, as if Trump is magic and they will be magically transported back to 2018 when they still live with mom and dad and the only thing they had to worry about was if one of their favorite Marvel characters was going to die in the next MCU movie picture

Crazy how the Trump assassination seems like it happened years ago already. Trump must be fuming that more aren’t talking about that

Yeah a lot of people probably don’t even know Kamala is the likely nominee yet.

That video is all pride flags and a colour spectrum of races. It's not speaking to anyone but liberals.

Re: 2024 election - It's Joever, Biden Steps Down
I think the aim of Harris is to mobilize and not persuade. It’s why I would worry about a Shapiro pick right now. I am starting to think Kelly might be the right pick. He’s about the manliest guy for the Democrats and far manly than draft dodging Trump and two-faced Vance

Re: 2024 election - It's Joever, Biden Steps Down
I do want to note that we should be seeing Trump' polling numbers surge at the moment post attempted assassination, VP announcement, and convention. That this has not happened, rather than he has apparently lost quite a bit of ground towards Harris, is very noteworthy.
Harris polling plateau, in theory, shouldn't be until shortly after their convention which should get MANY eye balls onto her. It will be very interesting to see where the polling goes but none of that is good news for DT at all.
I think it gets lost there are simply more democrats/democrat leaners in the US than there are Republicans. Dems win the popular vote nearly ever time. The gay pride issues that she is referencing have mass appeal beyond democrats as well.
I am fine with Shapiro or Kelly. Shapiro would indeed likely lock up PA which presents a giant problem for Trump. But, Harris/Kelly should absolutely be favored in PA too. Kelly would be the more inspiring pick as an individual though, and Harris/Kelly may be the most appealing "suburb" pick in modern history.
I would go with Harris-Kelly if it were me.
