Hopefully Trump can still win North Carolina after Republicans lose governor race by like 15 points because they nominated a guy with the same views as Kanye

If not for Walz I might have predicted Trump makes a run at Minnesota, they went from 1.5 Hillary win in 16 to 7 for Biden, however they were all about BLM in 2020.

That would be a huge mistake for Trump if he did. Trump is currently bleeding and states like Florida and even Iowa which were safely red prior to Harris entering the race have now slipped to slight red. I am not saying Trump will lose these states, but if he does not play a safe election and starts chasing lost cause states like Hillary did in 2016 then he would lose badly. As it is right now the race pretty much comes down to PA and the more serious people in Trump’s orbit know that

The closest 2020 pollster statistically. Interesting they have North Carolina so good for Harris.

Re: 2024 election - Trump vs Harris (the final countdown)
Make no mistake. Vance won that debate, but Waltz did little to hurt Harris in the end. Good thing is very few are talking about it and this will probably be old news by the end of the week. The bigger story is going on in the Middle East which is overshadowing everything right now. And Harris will get more damage from this port strike if anything. Right now, so many are locked into their spot especially after Trump had one of the worst beat downs in debate history a few weeks ago and Harris only gained a little over on Trump.

Right now, so many are locked into their spot especially after Trump had one of the worst beat downs in debate history a few weeks ago and Harris only gained a little over on Trump. My personal opinion is that no one "won" this debate. Vance is obviously a slick and smooth debater, not a huge shock considering his background, but he said a lot of absolutely false statements and came across like he was selling snake oil. Walz's style is not particularly suited to this stiff format, and he had some awkward moments. But he also had some really good ones, improved as he went along, and landed some of the crucial pieces about abortion and J6. But as you said, a VP debate is always irrelevant and never moves the needle. Especially when the result is basically a wash like this. Also don't know that I agree that either the horrible things going on in the Middle East or the strike will be particularly impactful for this election. I guess we'll see but I don't see it with only a month to go.

Right now, so many are locked into their spot especially after Trump had one of the worst beat downs in debate history a few weeks ago and Harris only gained a little over on Trump. I think I am pretty fair towards DT and co- this performance by Vance is a good example of why expectation setting matters. Expectations were set very low for him which is helpful. That said, my objective view is this debate was as close to a draw one gets. Vance won on style, but not by much, and he got more and more vague as things went on. His answer on J6th was obviously atrocious. The lack of substance from was pretty notable. Both walked away with ridiculous in the moment misstatements: "I am friends with school shooters" "Hey! you guys said no fact checking!" but even agreed to write them off during the debate Walz could have been harsher towards him, but rule #1 for him was always "do no harm" and no harm was done whatsoever. He came as passionate and regular. The amount of agreement between the 2 of them was surprising and refreshing, and largely undermines either ones ability to clearly be seen as a winner. That said - the winner of most debates is usually the one who looks calmer and to be having the most fun of the candidates. Walz was a decisive winner on substance but a more narrow loser on style. If he ever has to do this again, someone needs to tell him to relax a bit and smile more. I also did not get the impression he was nervous at all, not sure where this is coming from, he spoke as he always speaks. It might sound shaky at times but that is because he is "normal". He was 100x better than Tim Kaine in 2016, but not as obviously impressive as Kamala was in 2020.

They both did ok, probably not enough to make a difference. The worst debate performance of the four was Harris.

Her mental capabilities must be failing cause only a total lunatic would say those type of things on live tv
