I missed KJ - glad it's back...

Woot, it was a long week so I’m happy the site is working! It should now be faster as we have a reinstalled server.

The short version is we found a way to cut our costs in half the last few years which was well worth it on the whole, essentially by leaving the control panel side of things unavailable to us, but we saw the drawback as we hadn’t installed any updates for a few years. That either led to crash or when signing up again the attempted updating crashed it.

I compounded the problem by trying to fix it myself, and made the most expensive typo of my life getting myself into so much trouble with one button nearly destroying the system that I had to hire a pro to get me out of it, which the free support staff had been telling me from the start to do while I stubbornly ignored them. As a result I only asked Jack MadGez and lilmac to pay as much as if we had hired him from the start, while I’ll pick up the difference for the egregious trouble I had gotten into.

In the future we will be taking steps every few months to make sure we don’t fall behind on updates again or have too old of backups (there was a time when it looked plausible all posts back to November 2019 would be lost).

As Shack mentioned we have cut down the monthly costs to half so it's much easier to pay these days but any help would be really appreciated, specially to cover the current outage for which we had to seek an extremely costly external help.
