I thought this would be interesting. What helps a film that doesn't tell a full story still satisfy?

Kill Bill Volume 1 is a masterpiece. I liked it more than Volume 2. That's the top of my list.

Matrix 2 was financially successful but destroyed the franchise to a point that 20 years later it still hasn't recovered. So its at the bottom.

Yes Kill Bill vol 1 was better than Vol 2 for me. Insanely good. It’s tight between KB and Fellowship for me.

Hmm... I'll vote Kill Bill Vol. 1. Equally satisfying on its own, while also ending on a perfect note to lead to the second part. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest is similar in this way for me, so is a strong second.

Avengers: Infinity War is excellent. And I know it's a first part basically, but... just doesn't feel like one.

Mockingjay should have been a ~2.5-3 hour movie, in my opinion. Or rather would have been better as a single movie (obviously splitting it brought in more money). Both parts are good, but the pacing suffered a great deal.

Overall though, all these are at least good (never saw Allegiant). It's much harder to finish the story though, as evident by the quality of many of the sequel(s) to these films.

Kill Bill Volume 1 is a classic. Probably the film I've seen the most amount of times.

I love Deathly Hallows Part 1 also.

I think I'd say Fellowship, I'm not the biggest fan of LOTR but the first one is the best

I'd say Kill Bill part 1 takes the cake. I enjoy the LOTR trilogy more than kill bill as a whole however.

Kill Bill was the first thing that came to mind so I voted for it.

Fellowship is the best movie up there, but I don't think it fits the question. They did adapt the entire book after all (and the opening chapter of Towers too.)

Dune. If it ended there I’d be fine.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, followed by Kill Bill Vol. 1 and The Matrix Reloaded. But I tell you what, Back to the Future 2 is quite underrated. I enjoy myself no end whenever I watch any of them.

I haven't seen the BTF films since the 90s, but I recall liking the 2nd one the most.

I am surprised Fellowship isn’t running away with this poll. I recall when I first came to these parts back in 2005 that people thought of Lord of the Rings as the hands down best trilogy of all time. Of course, with time I too came to that conclusion. But I am oddly proud of Kill Bill Vol 1 doing so well as the complete set is also amongst my all time favorites even though I prefer Vol 2.

LOTR is just all time for me but I get the feeling that for this poll - KBv1 is just more fitting as it does feel more incomplete (and yes it's just amazing and also an all time for me with Vol 2)
