Re: Who will be the next James Bond?
Craig, I think, still has two more movies left on his contract, so if he sees those out that's 4-6 more years. At that point, everyone on that list will either be too famous or too old.
Edit: He has one more left after Spectre. If that film comes out in 2018, we probably won't get a new Bond until 2020 for a 2021 release.
My guess is they'll go the Craig route again and get an actor who has been in some things, but is still pretty much an unknown to a wide audience.

I think the next Bond might be more classic Bond. Just a hunch.
It'll probably be someone super obvious, like a Hugh Jackman type.

This makes it newsworthy. He has a chance.

It'll probably be someone super obvious, like a Hugh Jackman type. Classic yes, but I'd be surprised by Jackman. First he's Austrailian and that didn't go over well the last time. And as I said, I doubt they go with someone famous. Some fame maybe, but not like Jackman. The only way that happens is if it's just for one or two movies. The producers aren't going to want to pay someone famous (like Jackman) an enormous amount of money. They're famously stingy.

If not, then he's definitely blonde, and that was different to all other Bond's before him, so Damian being ginger is not such a big factor. After all, they are considering a fucking black man!

Damian also looks butt ugly like hes a leprechaun. Also, the number of black men that could be cool, handsome and suave greatly outnumber gingers that are considered handsome. Now you go ahead and list the number of ginger male stars. Um yeah sure Conan Obrian

Personally I think Clive Owen should still get it for a few movies.

Re: Who will be the next James Bond?
Isn't Craig signed for one more after Spectre? Because if he is, Clive Owen would be at least 55 by the time he'd do it. Way way past his date.

Re: Who will be the next James Bond?
And even that would be too old (tied with Roger Moore's starting age, except that, yanno, he was actually 45). Also a reason why I don't believe Lewis will make it - too old. I doubt they will pick a Bond who will be older than 40-42 by the time his stint starts. Craig should make another one and bow out at 50.

Re: Who will be the next James Bond?
It's funny how being James Bond pretty much ruins any career prospects. It sets you up for life financially, but having a career post-007 is unlikely. They're always seen as being James Bond. Nothing else. Connery probably had the best shot, but he is still just "the first James Bond". He can't shake it.

Re: Who will be the next James Bond?
I think Connery is the one who shook it well. When I think of him, Bond is not the first thing that comes to mind. I think of The Rock, The Untouchables, Entrapment, Highlander, The Hunt for Red October and Indiana Jones. He won an Oscar, he has had a career as great as it gets after Bond.

Re: Who will be the next James Bond?
I really hope they stick with the rumored ending for Craigs final film Craig goes to a retirement resort place where he sits to play a card game. The surrounding players are revealed to be sean connery, roger moore, lazenby, tim dalton and pierce brosnan. James Bond is just a persona for 007 made up by the British government. dum dum dum!!!

Re: Who will be the next James Bond?
As for people knowing him as "the first Bond" that will always happen, when you play an iconic role, no matter what you do later. Harrison Ford had a great career, but he is always either Indy or Han Solo, Bruce Willis is John McClane etc.

That sounds like fanfiction. These theories are crushed by the fact that in Skyfall you see the graves of Bond's parents, who are actually named Bond.

Re: Who will be the next James Bond?
Time helped Connery.
Brosnan is shaking it better then the others. Moore, Lazenby, Dalton, Craig....they'll always be Bond.

Re: Who will be the next James Bond?
Brosnan had dantes peak and Thomas crown affair. Connery had plenty of hits while Bond. Going Bald and his accent being different than the character helped big time, I mean his hits on his own we're almost 15 years after diamonds are forever. But Craig will do ok afterwards. If he's smart he should be in the kingsmen sequel.

And that's about as fake as it gets. First, if they were going to set up James Bond as a persona they would've done it by now instead of constantly shifting dates around. And second, and most importantly, Connery has hated EON ever since he left. And if he was going to come back for a cameo, you'd think it would've been at the end of Skyfall. If he's ever going to appear in another film again, it's definitely not going to be in a Bond film.
