Just go with an established villain that people like already. Magneto? No need to continually build up to the action, just get there faster!

Majors turnaround feels even more dramatic than Armie's downfall. He was the breakout star of Creed which was a major box office smash and in the same month this happened.

We've seen box office peak to actor downfalls in the past but I can't recall anyone who's path so dramatically changed so quickly in <4 weeks. It's really sad all around. Magazine Dreams seemed like it would have been a major awards contender and now it will be lucky to ever play in a theater or have an audience.

Also, here's a twilight zone 2023 moment. Who did SNL have as a musical guest when Majors hosted? Taylor Swift! What different trajectories over this year.

There are rumors of Sony pushing for another multiversal epic with Spider-Man 4 while Holland wants it to be more of a personal street level story. So my prediction is thet we get another Spider-Tobey 3 situation where Venom is just dropped into an entirely different story, benching Daredevil in favor of a huge battle between the three Spideys and three Venoms (Hardy, Topher, 'futbol is life' guy from Ted Lasso.)

I'm gonna say Dunst and Stone are in the next one.

Yeah that's not gonna happen. Nolan's movie opens the week before, with Tom Holland, and had a 3 week imax contract. SM4 is opening in December once Disney stops being dumb and moves Episode X.

Disney trying to pile all their hits into a short space like they did in 2019.

What if Nolan’s movie is moving…

I guess it could, but Nolan loves that late July spot and the last Spider-Man made almost $2B in December.

Armie booked his first acting job. It will be a western.

Not really superhero news, stars Thomas Jane, who has pretty much been blacklisted because of his drug history. But o do love Jane hope his redemption continues

That's maybe the opposite of news.

With the news of an indefinite pause by Sony on the expanded Spider-Man universe (Venom, Kraven, etc.), it’s a good reminder that if Sony were to stop producing Spider-Man movies for an extended period, the rights could potentially revert to Marvel Studios, giving Disney full control over the character for future films. I had hoped Sony would overextend the Spider-Man IP to the point where it’s forcing Sony to halt productions to avoid further losses. This, in turn, would create an opportunity for Disney/Marvel Studios to reclaim the rights. It seems we might be getting closer to that possibility. Hoping Holland doesn’t do another one after Spidey 4.

So if theyre ending the Venomverse, does that mean that Spidey 4 is not going to be King In Black after all?

Chris Evans is back for Doomsday, but they did not specify who he would be playing. So it could be time travelling Cap ... or perhaps a villain like with RDJ? They already did Johnny Storm in Deadpool.

I am sure Evans will play the Cap. Either Multiverse version or old Cap. Dont think another new character for Evans would help. Definitely not Storm.

Dumb for him to comeback after the D&W cameo. Guess they realize him and RDJ realize they need the money.

Anaconda Reboot: This is a film that I don't mind seeing rebooted. I saw the original in theaters and just like Snakes on a Plane many of us enjoyed it for what it was. Still, I'm hoping they keep the movements and physics of the snake grounded (i.e. not a snake that can go 0-60 in 2 seconds, or is 60 feet long). Also hoping they nail the CGI.
