Re: Fifth SCREAM Still Possible
I'd like to see the fourth one first in theaters. Still no word on a distributor picking it up here...

I hope so.
If Scream 4 can do well on dvd, might make it more viable. These arent expensive to make after all.

Only a few things need to happen.
Go 3D, and change the release date back to either Christmas time or Halloween, could definitely see an increase.

Re: Fifth SCREAM Still Possible
Sure it could. Donnie Darko had a direct-to-video sequel. So did American Psycho. So did American Pie. Hell, there's a whole Behind Enemy Lines franchise! It's not just a fate reserved for the Children of the Corns and Pumpkinheads of the world anymore.
In fact, the Scream franchise is almost perfect for the transition. Once-mighty horror franchise beset by flagging grosses and increasingly ambivalent talent.

Re: Fifth SCREAM Still Possible
All those had like only 1 character returning. They didn't preserve cast continuity at all.

Re: Fifth SCREAM Still Possible
You hear that Scream lovers? Be sure to buy the Blu-Ray by the basketful to make sure they make another! They'll need the money to fund Neve Campbell and David Arquette's $55 million salaries. Cuz that's why Scream can't possibly be DTV, right?

Re: Fifth SCREAM Still Possible
Lol Moviedude, I'd be surprised if they made more than 4 million a piece. I'd actually be happy if they did come back now, because now the stars would likely force Craven to kill them off.

Re: Fifth SCREAM Still Possible
I'd be happy if they didn't come back. They need to leave these characters be.
