Here is my review on Yahoo:

This is a film that had me nodding, shaking, and scratching my head all during the viewing. It is definitely an art-house film that will test your patience. It isn't really a thriller, but about the relationship between two leading women. Both gave great performances, and it's a treat to see them going back and forth at each other. I haven't seen any other Charlotte Rampling's work, but she is magnificant in this one, especially when she is alone. The young lady also matched her round for round. However, the story is quite under-developed. I was waiting for more things to happen, and the last 1/3 of the film was too subtle and left me with a "huh?". B.

According to webster.com, Dumb is the correct way to spell it. Dum is a word, but it does not have the same meaning as dumb.

I thought it worked perfectly as a slick, quiet thriller, but I found its 'ambiguous' ending to be almost too straightforward (and, in turn, a little anti-climactic).

What were everyone else's interpretations of the ending?
