Interesting mix of films for the top 10. Best actor race is so freaking competitive. There are 10 people that can conceivably be nominated. The top 3 in best actress race look good, and another mention of Julie Delpy is a good news.

Newsweek always tends to skew a little off-beat (last year's list included American Splendor, The School of Rock, Man on the Train, etc.). Their choices this year, however, are even more so.

Harry Potter? Friday Night Lights? OSAMA? (which I just Tivo'd by the way, good call ;)).

Off-beat (in a mainstream kinda way), indeed.

They also mention Nicole Kidman in the actress category....who knows who will actually be nominated in this crazy category?

It's nice to see Potter getting some props from some of the big publications.

WOW. I am extremely content with Before Sunset and Julie Delpy mentions. Maybe there is justice in the movie business!
