The Aviator is the only "big" non-animated movie among the TOP 9. Bodes very well for it. Also Super-Size me gets closer to a lock for Best Documentary. A win, that is.

Something happened where they announced the best supporting actress win going to Cate Blanchett and Laura Linney, but now the site reports differently.
The win goes to Virginia Madsen.

I consider Sideways close to a lock for Best Picture nomination, especially it continues the trend on Monday with NYFCA.

Yep.
Also it seems to me, the more buzz Sideways is gaining, the more buzz is Kinsey losing.

Agreed. The critics are rallying behind one movie to try to get it nominated instead of trying to be different from each other.

Sideways, Thomas Haden Church and Virginia Madsen have all assumed the positions of locks, I think.
I'm so overjoyed at this film! GO SIDEWAYS!

By the way...is there any chance that Topher Grace will get nominated for Best Supporting? I mean he got Best Breakthrough Actor here as well as at the National Board of Review...
