I've no idea what this is, but I'm in.

It's pretty straight forward, whoever drafts the eventual Best Picture winner wins (and then there'll be some tiebreaker system if nobody gets it, either most nominees or Best Director/guilds winner or something). Maybe 3 picks each or something. The draft would happen relatively soon, but I'll make a list of movies and their descriptions big enough that people can just pick from it if they want, or they can go off the board if they choose.

In that case I offer my 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks to get #1 overall and select Dune Part Two.

The draft will start Tuesday, June 11. Since Flava'd has said in another thread he's going on vacation, he will automatically be given Dune 2, but it will be his only pick.

When will we know a draft order?

Well the draft basically starts when the order is released so I'll do that on Tuesday. But I can post the groups in alphabetical order

I would have liked Dune 2 this is unfair.

I'd rather have 5 picks than just Dune 2 considering a mainstream sci-fi sequel would be a pretty rare BP winner.

I wouldn't have allowed it normally but Flava'd saying he's on vacation this week made it line up too well and it would feel wrong for him to not be in the draft as a regular awards forum predictor.

Where's Flava going, the Sahara? the Amazon jungle? I'm pretty sure he'll be able to sign in for a minute and pick a film (or hand over a list beforehand).

I'll switch groups with zwackerm so he can have a chance to draft Dune

I have added some release date information to the descriptions in the Draft threads, I also added a few films and took off Megalopolis which I hadn't realized had already met its predictable fate.
