This is a lot. Some of it is genuinely unnerving and really well done, but I really wish I could honestly unsee some of the things I saw in the climax, holy hell :funny: . I’d be honestly shocked if this doesn’t get an F Cinemascore. Jessie Buckley is great, would love to see her in more, this is the first I’ve seen her in a film.

Looooove Garland's other 3 films. This... not so much. For the last 20 minutes I legit sank down on my seat. I think the movie grows on me reflecting back on it, but not an easy watch at all. Definitely don't think it's a bad film but I'm not sure it completely works.

Post Re: Men
This was so dumb.

It had style, so I didn't mind watching the story set up, but it just kept getting worse and worse as it went along. And I'm not just talking about the shock and the gore and the male vaginas. This movie really needed to not have Dumb Main Character Syndrome, yet the movie wouldn't happen if she had any self-awareness.

2/10

Eerie film, that stands out with some striking imagery and excellent acting. Rory Kinnear is especially fabulous as the different men. But in terms of the story it left me with wanting something more out of it or something. It reminded me of mother! in a way, how it plays with allegorical and metaphorical themes. It's good and somewhat memorable, just not overly impressed with it as a whole.
